This may sound weird but all of a sudden DS will look at us and just squint his eyes, he has been doing it for the fast two days now. We don't think it is anything to be worried about but DH did a little "research" of his own and read a lot of things where people said their children needed glasses or were going blind. Is this something we should call the pedi about? Anyone else have a toddler that is starting to squint occasionally?

    Yes, our son (15 months old) does this. We figured out that he is trying to imitate our eyebrow expressions when we're talking. He thinks he is moving his eyebrows up and down. Also, he squints in response to times when he remembers getting wind blown in his face, or hair in his eyes, like he is anticipating it happening again even if there is no wind or hair in his face that time. Know what I mean? Can't say for certain that's what your kid is doing, but in all likelihood he is trying to make different facial expressions to you.

    Yup! I agree totally. Both my girls did this sort of thing -- totally normal. You can always bring it up with your pedi at the next appt if it would make you feel better, but I wouldn't worry at all.....They become so expressive and discover all the fun things they can do with their faces.
