Can formula powder be frozen?

My LO's been really sick the last week--lots of vomiting and other fun bodily issues.  Doctor had him switch to soy formula while his stomach regulated itself again.  I bought a big can of it, but likely won't use all of it.  I know once formula powder is opened, it should be used within a month.  But am I able to freeze the leftover powder in case we have another stomach issue like this come up?  What do you think, Dec12?  I'm thinking yes, but really don't know.

  • What does it say on the can? (no idea other wise)

When we were first buying formula for LO, knew we wouldn't go through it fast enough, so bought the pre-packaged single serving pouches of the powder since we were not sure if LO would even take to it.

  • @LittleFish1, thanks!

Big "duh" to me--never even thought to look at the can.  L-)  Turns out it cannot be frozen.  :-(  Soooo...  LO will just be on half and half soy / regular formula bottles til it's gone!  No wasting formula here!
