    Good to know! I made DS keep his Lands End Kindergartrn backpack this year too and will let him choose a new one for second grade when DD starts Kindergarten. I will also buy them both Planet Box too instead of getting DD a regular backpack.

    DS got the Small size when he was in preschool and it is still in perfect condition so we had him use it again in Kindergarten. It fits his PBK lunch box inside and all paper work the teacher sends home. I so wanted to get him a new one but I resisted because there was just no need. Even the monogramming on it is still perfect!

    WestCoastMommy, now you have me wondering if the Large would be too big. I am not buying it until next year unless DD sees it on Clearance and loves it but I plan on having her use it for two years. Then again if I know DD she will want a cheapo character bag!

    DD has three and they all still get used! They have held up great over the years... She got her first one at 1, a pre school one at about 3 and she got a medium one with a lunch box to use for 1st and 2nd grade. Now they are used to tote dance and swimwear around. She has a Lands End one for 3rd and 4th grade and so far it has held up great too. She needed a bigger one for 3rd grade so we went with a new brand. I've bought kids a tone of PBk backpacks as 1st Birthday gifts and their parents all loved them! I got them on sale too!
