sex

its been a little over 2 months since LO was born. We have tired a couple of times but i am still really sore and things dont happen because of that... any one else still hurt, when will it not hurt? should I just suffer through? Husband is very understanding but i can tell he really wants to do it anyways,,,

Re: sex

  • I'm in the same boat... every time we've tried so far has hurt too much. Last time I got him all the way in though! Moving was too painful, so we did other things instead but I still felt bad for DH. I'm not sure why it's so painful because I had a c/s, perhaps because its been 4 months? Not sure if there's anything to do other than keep trying and wait it out. Lots of people have more than one kid so it must get bearable again at some point!

  • it is still too painfull for me, I had a lot of stiches and everything still feels tight. I feel bad for DH, but most days I am so exhausted anyway.

  • It was painful the first three or four times! Of course It feels much better within minutes...still uncomfy. I felt like he was hitting a bump midway in and then once he got past it it was ok! But that was with every stroke! Ugh.
Anyhow for this reason I had to have my husband in control! He would definitely always have to go sllllllooooooowwww!
It gets better! The next worry is finding consistent time to get it in!! Literally lol!!!
  • We tried once at 10 weeks pp. I was weird and I felt too tight. I know we should try again but I'm just not in the mood. And I have an irrational fear of getting pregnant Again. So yeah I don't even want there to be a possibility!

  • I'm 13 weeks pp we tried at 7 weeks it was a no go too painful. We tried again at 9 weeks still just really uncomfortable even with lots of lube. Last time was at 12 weeks and it just started to feel good again. I'm hoping a couple more weeks will be even better.

  • I'm 15 weeks and no nookie. I think I might be able to handle it soon though...

  • tried a couple times as well, first time wasn't so bad after a few minutes, but the last 2 times were worse.  I am hoping the more we do it the better it will get, but I think me anticipating the pain isn't helping the situation.
  • We did it this morning and I told DH this was the first time it didn't hurt at all and i have no soreness afterwards. LO is 12 weeks today. Although the milk pouring out of me wasn't sexy lol
  • I'm still sore and DD is 14 weeks today. We have only done it a handful of times since I gave birth. It's just so uncomfortable. I talked to my OBGYN about it and he said that was normal and it's going to take time and "practice" for everything to be OK again.

  • Question for you ladies, when you say it hurts, what do you mean? I've had this horrible burning and so we haven't had sex since I was 5 months pregnant. None of my OB's have any clue what could be causing it to burn so bad. Both my kids were born c-section if that makes a difference.

  • I had the same problem even though I had a c section. My doc told me before we even tried to use lube. She said if your breast feeding it would help.

I have the burning. Had it with DD1, too, who was a c/s. It was almost worse the first time despite a vaginal delivery with tearing this time! It sucks. I've been told its hormonal, but who knows.

Honestly, lube doesn't help. Just take it really slow. Try to warm hubby up so that the actual penetration doesn't last too long. That's all I've got.

  • The first few times it was very difficult for me but now we're back in the groove. We actually did it 4x this week and it was amazing every time. My DD is 4 months old and I would say it took 5-6 times of uncomfortable sex for it to get better.

  • I am almost 11 weeks pp and we've been having sex since 5 weeks pp. It hurt quite a bit (almost like being a virgin again) the first 3-4 times. It got better and better though and now feels great! I also had a csection.
