So remember the times where parents rubbed our gums with liquor when we were teething? And having a good time was really the only thing our parents or you (depending on age) had to worry about.. Well..
My LO is the size of a green olive today.. All I can think about is the delicious taste a vodka dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives!!
I'm on my honeymoon and all I want is one cheat for a dirty martini!!
My mom who had be in the early 80s tells me "one wont hurt" I'm thinking wtf lady what were you sippin on with me??? Lmao!
Boy how times have changed, if someone even hinted they had liquor or used it on their infant someone would be on the phone with CPS in a heartbeat..
Not to mention I don't even think of it as an option.. But hey I turned out pretty awesome..
That's my Saturday story..
Happy weekend mamas!
September Siggy Challenge: What I Sing in the Shower: Little Mermaid "Part Of That World"
Re: 80s babies
She continued to enjoy wine and smoked a pack of cigarettes a day through her pregnancies with me and my 2 younger siblings and no one blinked an eye. We also had Jack Daniels on our gums and my parents let us sip their wine and beer as young kids (gotta love coming from an Irish/Italian family!)
Not that I condone drinking or smoking, but it was definitely a very different time back then. My RE and OB said wine is fine, but after 2 losses, I'm not taking any chances with this baby
