High-Risk Pregnancy

Elevated liver enzymes

Hello all! This is my first time posting here. I have had a crazy few days. It all started 2 days ago after a normal doc visit. I told her my palms, hands, and feet had been itching on and off for a couple weeks. So they did some blood tests. This led to them finding out my liver enzymes are extremely high. Before getting pregnant, my enzymes were a little elevated, so I started eating better and even lost some weight, which lowered the levels and everything looked great. Fast forward to now, I'm 32 weeks pregnant and now I'm going to start seeing a high risk dr. Also I'm taking meds for high BP. Just wondering if anyone else is going through this too. I am happy to report that baby girl is doing great! They did an ultrasound this morning and she past her first test- scored 8/8. Sorry for the long post and thanks to anyone who comments.

Re: Elevated liver enzymes

  • Hey, I'm new to posting here as well, I mostly just lurk :) I've been dealing with elevated liver enzymes since 25 weeks where pre-pregnancy my numbers where in the 16-20 range, so perfectly normal/healthy. I also had chronic hypertension before getting pregnant and its only becoming a problem in the last few weeks or so. Both my liver numbers got as high as 100+ but they've gone down to the 70's range which is still elevated but not horribly. Do you know how high yours are? Glad to hear your LO is healthy! :) I'm being watched for preeclampsia so I'm also getting the BPP ultrasounds weekly and then NSTs weekly and thankfully baby is healthy and "happy" as the doctors tell me, lol. Sounds like our situations are similar. How far along are you? I'm 34 weeks today (also having a girl :) )
