Quiet movies with naps on the couch. Baby proof the heck out of your living room and pop in Finding Nemo or your other quiet time movie of choice and take a rest on the couch while the kids play quietly and watch the movie. I'm on baby 4 and always found my children behaved the best when mommy really just needed to lay down.
I try to get out and do things with DD to burn off energy. Then she gets tired and I don't have to work too hard (jumpy places, park, etc). After work I'm just dead, so I try to do as much as possible with her while I'm lying on the couch. She loves to help, so lots of "can you bring me X" or "pick up X off the floor!" Also, markers are a special treat that she likes to use, so I've been breaking those out, along with the play doh.

My DD has given up naps almost completely so I give her my phone or tablet to play with every afternoon for 30 minutes to an hour. She won't watch TV at all but she will flip around on a touchscreen forever.
PRESCHOOL! lol...he's going 5 days a week...just turned 3. I work during the week as a newborn and maternity photographer so sometimes I still have to nap when he does in the afternoon (let's hope that NEVER ends!!). I also work weekend nights as an ICU RN but I just reduced my hours...go figure.
I wait for DS to nap at around 12 then take a small nap since DD gets out of school at 2:45 and I have to cook before then. But it's crazy how fatigued I am. I didn't have this with either of my previous pregnancies so it really gets to me. The other day I was picking up DD from school and fell like I couldn't even keep my eyes open!
We just got back from a week of tent camping with my parents, and it was actually 10x more relaxing than being at home! DD was being constantly entertained by my parents/DH, and I could just sit a read on the beach for hours on end. Ahhh... I'm sad we're home!
We go to the park/playground a lot, and I let her run around while I just sit on a bench and keep an eye on things, intervening when necessary. She also plays great in our backyard on her own, and I can just sit and watch or do some light gardening (i.e. eat cherry tomatoes and snap peas from our garden, haha). Being outside is pretty much my way of keeping her out of trouble and getting to relax a bit.
I nap daily after work while my 8 and 6 6/o go to the after school program until 6 pm.im off everyday at 3pm so naps are a must.even when they are home i nap bcuz they are pretty much grown and ready for college( jk) and independent and can fend for themselves!
My son is 21 months. I nap when he naps, and take advantage of any other chance I get to lay down, even if its only 15 mins.
This is what I do too, I love napping when he naps. He always seems to think me laying on the floor is an invitation for him to come jump on me. He likes to bounce on my belly of course lol
Nothing. There is nothing I can do. My DD is only 11 months, so TV doesn't work. We both get home around 5:30pm, so as soon as I walk in the door I try to play with her a little on the ground, then start dinner, feed her, bathe her and then once she's in bed around 7-7:30 I clean up the house (it's on the market so it has to be picked up always), then work on some decorations for her 1st birthday party and then crash into bed around 9:30 or 10. Then I get up at 5am and start all over!
I'm lucky that both of my kids are in school full time this year and I am a SAHM (for now) so I do things around the house and nap while they are in school. I still don't have much energy to cook later in the evening, so meal planning is coming into play now so that I can prep and throw stuff in the crockpot while i have the energy (typically) around 10am! I don't remember being this exhausted with my second when my first was a year old though.

I have a three year old and a thirteen year old. The older ones helps out a ton! He has a football practice until 8 pm so I go from 7 am to 8:30 pm. And then I collapse
I have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old boy. I go to bed right after I put them to bed at 8pm and on the weekeneds, totally nap w. them.
I have family around to help if the husband is working or busy which is awesome, I just have to get better at asking for it. Its totally a pride thing I have to get over, esp with twins coming, like if I cant do it myself I suck or something, but I know thats me being a crazy introverted nutball. So I will suck it up and ask them to comeover and watch them so I can honkin nap.

Omg the exhaustion. I don't even know where to begin. We were in a rental that was on the market then the power went out so now were moving in with my parents by tomorrow so I wake up at 6/630 and go to work and then get DD who is 19 months. Then go pack my car from the rental and bring it to my parents and unpack it and feed DD and have been giving her lots of coloring activities to do. She learned to color on herself and can now open sharpies that we use to mark the boxes... Fantastic. I'm trying to put the clothes away while DH makes the big trips with dressers and when he isn't moving us he's working on our house that we bought and doesn't get home until late. I push the limits of caffeine I really hate drinking any while pregnant but by the end of the day I need tea or soda. I can't take it. My body feels like its going to give out on me
I am trying to get my DD back to napping while my DS is at school, but she's not having it lately. I'm hoping we can get back onto a somewhat sane schedule soon. Swimming and tumbling classes start soon, so I'm hoping to win this battle by exhausting her, before I pass out on my feet. Someone said stuff about not asking for help, I never feel comfortable sleeping when other relatives are in the house/ watching my kids. I feel like I have guests. I suppose it would be different if I was closer to my mom/ could truly trust my MIL. A few more weeks and hopefully I'll have more energy.

DD is 9 and I don't know how you ladies do it I give u huge props!!! Marissa came home from school and made me a PB & fluff sandwich. She is a good kid. Btw she still thinks I have the flu. She asked why its taking me so long to get over it. Only 4 more weeks until I can tell her it's not the flu it's a baby!!!
I have a 5 year old who is in Kindergarten, so I attempt to sleep/rest as much as possible when she is in school. Her dad also takes her with him when he gets off work (M-F) so they can have "father/daughter time"- even if they just go outside and play with the dog- it takes the pressure off of me! I also agree with other people saying movies and games- she will sit and watch Netflix or play on nickjr.com, pbskids.com, abcmouse.com, and/or her leapfrog for hours on end- if I tell her I am not feeling well. Good luck!
DD is 18 mo and I definitely try to get us out of the house to an activity in the morning. CANNOT WAIT until its cool enough to spend hours at the park. If she's worn out, she'll usually take a good nap and I can snooze / veg. Then we try and play quietly in the afternoon because I seem to feel worse as the day wears on -- puzzles, lots of coloring and reading, I let her tear apart my Tupperware and measuring cup drawers. And, when I'm feeling really retched, Curious George or Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood (a new favorite - I think we tried it because someone on here recommended?).
She also started going to preschool from 9:30-2:30 every Monday and Wednesday. THANK YOU JESUS for preschool.
I'm letting DH do as much as possible. He's making all dinners (we both work) and lets me nap, if needed, while he takes care of DD. I also go to bed shortly after DD (around 7:30/8) and leave the cleaning and laundry until the weekend.

I am at work during the week, but on weekends I nap when he does. We've also done more tv. He likes to play with his cars or dinosaurs on the floor & usually is happy with me laying on the floor next to him talking with him while he plays. Also, he likes to play with his doctor kit, so I lay down on the couch with a "hurt" foot or leg sometimes
Re: 2nd/3rd time moms?
Today we both took a nap on the couch while Charlotte's Web played in the background
Kidding. Obviously.
