C-section

Went to my specialist today he said my placenta previa is now a marginal previa but since it is 1.2 inches or centimeters from the cervix he still wants to go ahead with a c- section. :/ man this whole pregnancy has been emotionally rough and to end with this... Sad :(

    My specialist told me they'd keep checking my previa up to 36 weeks before scheduling a c-section. Did yours give you any more time for it to move?

    That's exactly what mine was at 30w5d and they want to scan me again said it could still move

    boo.  :(  But there is hope it can still move! And at least it isn't compete (I assume this makes the complications less likely).

    I'm sorry you're sad about it, but I will say my scheduled c-section with DD1 was as delightful as could be. Do some research on good c-section birth experiences, make your preferences known, and who knows? you could be surprised by being able to birth vaginally or have a nice experience with a c-section. I made sure to accept the section early on and it completely changed my outlook.

    To go with @snoopyluv, a scheduled c-section can be a great birth experience. Yes, it is surgery and recovery can be rough, but you can talk with your surgeon and healthcare team to make sure you have the best experience possible. In some cases, a scheduled c-section is preferable to attempting a vaginal birth and then potentially needing an emergency c-section. T&Ps and I hope all goes well!
