Cold care

Hello,

My dd has a bad cold. We went to the pedi and she said it is just a cold.  I wanted to see if any of you have any special tools or medicine you use when you little one is sick. We do a lot of liquid and some Tylenol for fever. I tried some honey too.

Thanks for all the help.

  • Saline drops in the nose and a humidifier.

  • We use baby Vicks too. On his nose and the bottom of his feet, with socks.
  • Exactly what is above. That saline works well. Also elevate the crib mattress with a towel so your DD isn't totally flat while sleeping. A little time reading books in the steamy bathroom can give some relief too.

  • steamy shower, humidifier, prop up with pillow to sleep (if old enough), saline spray, and tissues with lotion

  • Boogie wipes...I've found them at Walmart. They're saline wipes that help with a stuffy nose. DS would never let me use a nose spray on him, so these are great for him.

  • Zarbees is awesome.  It is basically honey with a lot of vitamins.  Allowed after age 1.
