Hey guys! I haven't posted here (Dec 2011) in a long long time! Hope you all are doing well & your toddlers are driving you just as crazy (in a good way) as mine! Lord knows if any of you even remember my screen name! LOL
How's everyone's toddler eating these days? DS is still the pickiest dude on earth. I've JUST been able to get him to eat some meats, but only if they are off the grill. Even then, one day he will gobble them up, the next he won't touch them. I can usually get some fruits & veggies in him via those pouches you can buy, but can't wait til I can just give him the same as what we are eating.
He has VERY slowly accepted a new food here & there, & refuses to even try most things that other kids go gaga over like hot dogs or mac n cheese or spaghetti. (lord what I would give to get this kid to try a piece of pasta!) He's only recently started to eat bananas & watermelon. SO we've had progression & I feel I just have to wait him out & all will work out in the end, but was curious how everyone else's LO was eating these days!
Edit - clarified that by saying "I haven't posted here in a long long time" I'm referring to Dec 11

Re: Eating
another big surprise is ketchup.. every kid I have ever known loves ketchup. Mine seems to hate it. I thought trying it would help get him to eat more.. nope.
Just hoping the progress speeds up sometime soon! I know he eats way more at day care & that at least makes me feel better

I'll have to try the frozen peas! Thanks!
He does use silverware. Even that he's being picky on! I have cute Cars or other Disney character forks & spoons for him to use. He prefers to use the real thing that daddy & mom have. Luckily our silverware set came with the 2 different sized forks, so the smaller ones are not terrible for him to hold onto & use for his mouth. When he does eat with them.. he does well.

I never really thought of it as a phase since he has really always been this picky since we started real foods. I've always thought of it as a bad eating habit he got into.
DH has had to deal with the frustrations first hand though, so he is totally aware of how he will not be doing the same thing with this new LO as he did with DS1!
