School is serving my favorite meal today! I know schools serve some iffy food, but what was your favorite school lunch growing up? Another favorite was chili and cinnamon rolls... Mmmmmm!!

I don't remember what it was growing up. But the school I teach at has baked potato and salad days, I love that. We also do a week of nothing but fresh produce from local farms and those lunches are always so good.

Ooooh I love baked potato bar! Our cook lives on a farm so she always brings fresh produce from her garden. Our school is tiny. This week we had slice tomatoes and cucumbers. Mmmmmmm mmmm!

We had baked potato bar at our high school, and it was awesome :-)

But yeah, tomato soup and grilled cheese would have been my favorite if they'd had it!

When I was in grade school, I liked the salisbury steak with gravy and mashed potatoes. In high school, I only got bagels with cream cheese and chocolate milk (occasionally a slice of pizza or a chicken burger, but I always regretted those later...).

When I was a kid I loved the "cheesesteak." Looking back, I have no idea how I ate it. I would never ever ever eat the school lunch here at the place I work. I have lunch duty this year and it grosses me out seeing the kids eat that stuff.

The best lunches growing up were pizza bagels on Fridays! Current favorite (and only school lunch I will eat) is pepperoni rolls, which are essentially massive yeast rolls stuffed with pepperoni and mozzarella. It isn't on the menu in Sept. I'm hoping October is my lucky month

My favorite lunch is elementary school was the homemade pizza hot dish with a thick layer of gooey cheese on top. The school where I work has some decent lunches. They have great salad options so I usually choose one of those if I don't pack my own lunch.

We had these things called cheese zombies. They were bread with cheese in the middle. So good!!! And I always loved the fresh cookies ... We had Taco Bell too! Lol thank god I swam 2 times a day 6 days a week or I would have been huge!

My mom made would spread cream cheese, smoked salmon, and some veggies on a tortilla wrap, then wrap it and cut it into pinwheels. I freaking loved that. I was always a big bagel and cream cheese fan too. And sometimes, in high school, my dad would drop by at lunch time with hot soup and a panini, which was awesome.

In HS I would always scrounge change for cheese fries, which was nacho like cheese over yummy crinkle fries yummy!!!! Sometimes the pizza, but mostly my dad packed us the cutest mr mom lunches complete with cookies :x

My high school had the best chicken nuggets and fries which is what my friends and I ate every single day. How depressing to think of the terrible nutrition in our school!

We didn't have a cafeteria in high school so they "catered in" fast food daily. It was awesome for the 1st week then I got sick of it! So I had TGIFridays baked potato skin chips, a chocolate milk, and Shocktarts. I was also 103 pounds and could eat anything. Sometimes I really hate high school me.

In elementary school rectangle pizza was the best! My high school was too small for a cafeteria so we had to be catered in too. Chick-fil-a day was always a winner.
