Natural Birth

Acupuncture at 40 weeks

So I had an acupuncture appointment this afternoon. It was definitely very interesting. We talked about how it doesn't necessarily induce labor but serves in "unblock" issues/pathways that could be holding labor back. I have never left any type of healing modality feeling more relaxed and rested!! That alone made the appointment worth it!! We talked about some potential mental blocks I was having about homebirth, etc. and I feel so much...lighter!! Tonight I have a ton more pelvic pressure. No contractions but definitely feel different. And it amazes me how ready I am and still so freaking NERVOUS!! I'll keep all you fabulously supportive women in the loop. Tomorrow seems like a great day to birth!!

  • Yay! Good luck! Lots a labor dust your way! I have an amazing acupuncturist that treated me all through my first tri for morning sickness and I actually looked forward to those appointment mostly because I left feeling so relaxed and calm.
