Hiding out in baby room (again) she went down late tonight after a busy day. She lasted 45min before waking. I went in and snuggled her back to sleep. I was getting ready to leave again but sat at the end of the bed to finish typing an email to my friend before leaving. After a few minutes she woke. She turned her little head left, right, left, right. Then her face crumpled and she was about to start bawling when I popped my head over hers. She saw me and lit up, her whole body shook with excitement, she gave the biggest smile and dozed back to sleep.
That's reward enough for yet another evening spent hanging out in the nursery. She's had some really good nights this week where she has happily spent most the night in the crib (waking to feed) and only spending the last few hours in the bed with me, because I was too lazy to put her in the crib. I think tonight will be a snuggly bed night though.
Anyways, that's reward enough and reason enough to keep on going the way we are going. Our friends are still CIO with their 5 month old. Makes me hold my 6month old all the longer and closer.
