sad face

DD just looked up from watching TV and said "I really wish my Daddy lived with my Mumma."

Re: sad face

  • Awww. Poor thing. That has to be hard. How old is your DD? My SS is 10 and a while back said 'I wish my mom and dad would just get along.' It broke my heart to hear his pain.

  • It's been an awfully long time since SD has said anything of that nature. Now it's usually, "I'm glad Daddy is with you instead of Mama."

In another way, that's sad, too, though. It means there is transparency where most kids still have beautiful childlike ideals.
  • DD is three. She doesnt even remember XH and I being together, but the show we were watching had a mom and dad together and that is what made her think of it. Its just sad to know she wont ever have that, or that she would feel like she wishes she had it and I can't give it to her. Obviously I know she's better of this way, but she doesn't understand that.
  • Wow. It is crazy at 3 that kids can be so perceptive. I don't have reallly have any advice but wanted to say that is heartbreaking.
