Progesterone went down..normal?!

I'm 11w4d today. I've been on progesterone since transfer.(I'm on Crinone) I've been getting it checked once a week since July. I went this past Sunday, and it was 23.7. The RE told me to go from twice a day to once a day, and get re-checked in 3 days. I went yesterday..the office just called and said my level was at 18!! She said it looked good,and it's normal for it to go down, as long as it stays over 15 I'm good. They don't want it to fluctuate a whole lot before the take me completely off. So, I'm continuing to once a day, and getting re-checked in a week.

Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm trying not to freak out!

I'm pretty sure it's normal for your progesterone to go down as you approach the end of the first tri. I believe your placenta starts to take over by then, rendering the progesterone unnecessary.

If your RE isn't worried, I wouldn't stress about it!

I wasn't on Crinone, but I was on PIO for 10 weeks and tomorrow is my last day of Endometrin (Vag supp Prog.) Even while taking 1ml of PIO daily and Endometrin 3x a day my Progesterone level would fluctuate from week to week.

When I dropped the PIO at 10 weeks and continued with the Endometrin 3x a day, I had a big drop... My RE was not concerned, he said it's normal don't worry about it. This is my last blood draw for progesterone level, each week since i've been on Endometrin only the value has fluctuated +/- about 5-7 points. My values have been anywhere between 45-12.1... all "normal" per my RE.

I had a FET and progesterone was low and even dipped to 9 a few times, I was nervous mess because of what I've seen on these boards. My clinic said over 7 is what they look for, could be with FETs, not positive. At 11 weeks, after coming off PIO, my obgyn tested progesterone and it was 8. Again, I freaked. Obgyn said they do not supplement after week 10 die to placenta doing its job. Fast forward to today, I'm almost 17 weeks, no problems and I'm being monitored often. Related question....my RE is not checking my progesterone at all. Is this normal? I'm on 100mg PIO as well as suppositories.

I've never experienced this myself, but I know two gals that have different RE's at differnt clinics, and they don't monitor progesterone. My guess : it depends on RE, clinic and maybe the type of progesterone supplements you are taking (PIO vs Vag supps).

For myself I like the number each week, but it is also one more thing for me to obsess about

my progesterone was not checked after my 2nd beta. stopped PIO at 8 weeks due to sterile abscess and stopped crinone at 12 weeks.

I think my progesterone dropped as low as 6 and I freaked out. They said it was normal and didn't even up my dosage. Endome.trin and Crino.ne aren't absorbed in the blood stream like PIO, so the P4 levels in your ute should be much higher than the blood work illustrates.

Mine fluctuated all over the place and as long as it stayed over 15 my RE was happy.
