When was your next U/S after your 1st?

Today was our first ultrasound (yay that took forever to get here!!) and she wants to see me back in 2 weeks. I don't remember such a quick appointment/US after the first...I thought the 12 weeks NT scan was the next one. She said that it's a routine OB visit with pap if I need one and an US "just for fun"....ummm I'm all for it but does she want to take another peek because she's worried about something? Is this normal? I'm probably worried over nothing but just wanted to check with you all.

i had my 1st at 6 weeks (originally scedhule for 7 weeks), my next one is at 10 weeks.

I'll have one at 8 wks for dating, 12 wks for NT scan, 20 wks for a/s, and later in the pregnancy to confirm the position of the baby.

I had one at 6 (we thought we were 8 at the time) and my next isn't until 20! boo on that.

One at 8, next is NT at12, but then I'll probably have another one the next day at my 12w appt- she tends to do u/s rather than Doppler because she has little machines in every exam room.

My first is Sept 10, and she scheduled me for my 2nd, Oct 4, so about 3.5 weeks

If she were worried she would be legally and morally obligated to tell you. Better she is more attentive than less attentive?

First one was at 7 weeks. My next one will be at 12 weeks for the NT. Next ones will be 17 weeks( echocardiogram) and 20 weeks anatomy scan. Those are the ones I know for sure. I'm considered high risk so we will see. Every practice is different though so I wouldn't worry.

My 1st ultrasound was at 8 weeks. My 2nd ultrasound will be at 10 weeks. I don't remember a 2nd ultrasound before the NT scan with my first either. I got so excited about another ultrasound so soon I didn't even think to ask why, lol.

It is optional at my practice. The do it at the local hospital. A perinatal dr does the scan.

My first ultrasound will be at 12 weeks. I had an appointment at 7 weeks, but my ob didn't think it was necessary to give me an ultrasound yet because I'm not a high risk pregnancy.

Well, I guess I'll see in 2 weeks! The NT scan is optional..we did it with Dylan so we'll do it again. They do it in office so no need to go to the hospital. I'm just a worrier!!

First was at 8.5 weeks but they moved my due date up almost a week so I was actually over 9w. The next is at 12.5 weeks for the NT scan. The last (unless there are complications) will be around 20 weeks.

My first was with an re at 6w5d they told us to schedule the first with the obgyn between 8 and 10 when I scheduled that they said we will have another between 12 and 13w5d!! I'm not going to complain but I'm going to need to find new excuses for missing work!

With my LO I only had two; the NT scan and the AS. I had a dating u/s with this baby so my next one will still be at 12 weeks and then 22.

My first was at 5w5d (because I had an ectopic) next is tomorrow at 8w1d since we only saw a yolk sac on the first one. Hopefully will see my baby tomorrow! I'm guessing the next one after that will be around 18-20 weeks

I had my first appointment 2.5 weeks ago and my next appointment is in 10 days, but no one has mentioned an US yet. I'm assuming I will have the NT one if I chose, then the normal AS one. I really want to see this baby.

I had my first at 6 weeks, but only because of my history. I'm getting a second at 7 weeks, again based on my history. I think after that one I won't have another until the NT scan (11-13 weeks).

Based on my history I'll be having a lot more ultrasounds this pregnancy. I had one at 6w, 8w and have another at 10w and then the NT scan at 12w. Pending how things go I shouldn't need another until 18-20w, but my OB and I right now are focusing on just getting me to 12w and then we'll go from there.

My first was for dating purposes at 8 weeks. We will skip the NT scan in favor of the Panorama blood test, so my next u/s will either be at the anatomy scan around 20 weeks or a bit before that -- my last pregnancy involved several membrane and placental/cord abnormalities (plus I have a partially bifurcated uterus) so I will have extra u/s again with a perinatologist to make sure those issues don't arise again. But, if I were "normal," my only 2 u/s would be dating at 8 weeks and a/s at 20.

I wouldn't worry at all. The doctor would tell you if she is concerned with anything. I have had 2 u/s so far, 7 weeks and 9 weeks, because of previous loss. My next appt is regular OB check on 9/17 (no u/s) and NT scan on the 26th. I'll be 13 weeks then.

It depends on the Dr. I'm use to getting US "just for fun" but my Mom is my OB's nurse so it might just be me.

I had one at 5w weeks and one at 7w2d. I think it just depends. I wouldn't be worried.

I agree with pp. I wouldn't worry as it seems to vary at every practice. I had my first at 5 weeks, but I was measuring a bit behind so they had me come back in at 7 weeks. My next one would be the NT at 12 weeks, but I think we might skip this one since my insurance doesn't cover it...so the next one I'll have will be at 20 weeks for the anatomy scan.

I go in for another ultrasound in 3 weeks. Not sure why. The Dr wanted to see me in 4 weeks but changed his mind and said 3 and then said something about the NT scan. So I don't know. He didn't seem concerned at all. So I am trying not to be.
