9 month checkup

DS has his 9 month check up coming up and was wondering for anyone who's taken their baby to that appointment. Do they get shots? For some reason I think someone told me that they don't get shots at their 9 month appointment. Just curious! Thanks:)

    No shots at the nine month appt. My pedi did send us to get blood work done and get a urine sample.

    We haven't had ours yet, but we were told at the last appt that there are no shots at the 9 mo appt

    We do the Hep B shot at the 9 month appointment and will do a flu shot then because Maddie's 9 month appointment will be in October.

    The urine sample looks like a drop in for a bottle with a sticky foam piece on it. It was placed over Little Man's penis and we loosely put the diaper back on until the end of the appt. I have never seen it before.

    And I'm quite sure what the blood work is for but my LO had issues when he was born. He spent 11 days in the NICU and he was poked and prodded for those 11 days. So I assume our case was to check on those same things he was checked for in the NICU.

    Bloodwork checks iron level, lead level & CBC.

    For us is will be just the usual growth measurements, check eyes, etc. No shots or bloodwork.

    If your pedi has the flu shot available then LO will get the first one after 6 mo. Otherwise no shots at the 9 mo appt.

    On the paperwork the pedi gave us, it says the nine months check-up includes a developmental screener. Anyone know what that includes?
