I don't think this is an uo but I have an acquaintance on my Facebook and I can't stand the pics she post of her kids in the car. She has a baby in an infant seat forward facing with just the seatbelt over the carseat. As well as the chest clip at his stomach! It bugs me so much and people have said things to her about it and she just ignores it. Just plain dumb to me! I need to delete her a** because she just irks me with everything she does and the pics of her kids, posing with the fingers up making the duck face, they are prob 7 and 10, and posing provocative. I mean I'm all for having cute pics and all but they are just plain trashy! I think this is more if a rant lol, sorry!

In my opinion this is child abuse! If I knew she was driving with her infant like this and not just posing him that way I would call and report her to the local police department or sheriff's office.
I don't feel that a military strike will resolve the issues in Syria. If the mindset does not change, the names of the players don't matter. You can remove Assad and his regime but what will take his place? There are already divisions amongst the Free Syrian Army and a lot of these "rebels" have ties to terrorist groups.
I agree. From what I understand, there also isn't conclusive proof that Assad was actually responsible for the chemical attack. I have heard speculation that it could actually have been a terrorist group staging the attack in order to provoke a war. That being said, I think Obama put us in a bad situation by saying that a chemical attack would be a game changer because now we look weak if we don't take any action.

I agree 100%. Plus really you want to prove to Syrian government that killing your own people is wrong by striking the country and killing more innocent people.
Related to PPs thoughts on Syria... and I know this is probably very unpopular but I saw a clip on Facebook last night from some political commentor/monologue and I had to agree with him.
He said that we need to stop interfering in all the wars in the Middle East. If they are going to kill each other over whatever, then let them kill each other. Its not our fight and shouldn't be taking so many resources away from our own people when nothing we do really solves the problem. When you look back through history, there has *almost* never been peace in that region of the world.
If we are going to interfere, at least be honest about why. It has nothing to do with the people and lending aid to The People, its all about protecting our oil interests.

Yes, I completely agree with all of this. I hate that this is happening.
@excitedaunt2be This person has had her children taken away by social services before and they gave them back to her! I believe what she is doing is abuse, I know social services is in and out of her kids lives on a regular basis. How many chances can one get when you are putting a child at risk. Sometimes the system sucks! I just pray nothing happens to the lo.
I pray we don't read about her kids in the paper one day, how can they give her kids back after being taken away? Ok, maybe she did the classes and tried to be a good mom. But if she's still putting the baby in the seat like that then they need to be removed for good. My heart is breaking and I just want to cry.
Here's my U/O...it's people like this that pop kids out left and right and don't deserve them! I tried for 6 long, heartbreaking years to have my Morgan. We went through hell and back to have her and finally we were successful, but people can just spread their legs and have a baby they don't want or care about!
I hate it when people use FB to blast their political and religious views. It's one thing to say "I like x or I support x", but a lot of it is total overkill, and sometimes just downright mean. I get it, that's their account and they can say what they want, but seriously, I almost deleted some people around election time it was so bad.
@excitedaunt2be I hear ya, I know people who would love to have kids, and would be awesome parents, but can not have them. It's just sad how easily some people that don't deserve children, have them!

I agree...and, honestly I don't know a single person IRL who is supportive of intervening in Syria, conservative, liberal or whatever. I think most people are sick of us being at war. I lost a friend in Afghanistan last year, and have several other friends with family members in the military, and it is so hard on them to see us get involved in yet another conflict that really does seem unnecessary.
@hischelseababy, I agree, I like that kind of humor, too. And @babar78, I miss that style of comedy. "That's beautiful? Is that velvet?" Love it!
I have two more UOs... 1. I don't think a teenager's first car should be brand new. 2. I think "Honey boo boo" or whatever her real name is might be the most obnoxious kid in America.
@hischelseababy and @babar78, I didn't like him either, but now one of my favorite movies is one he isn't really known for, Stranger Than Fiction. It also has Queen Laftifa, Emma Thompson, Maggie Gelinhall. It's a great movie.

Bahahaha! I almost looked for that Gif before I replied. Now I'm going to have to watch that this weekend! Oh, and I thought Curb Your Enthusiasm was better than Seinfeld.
I Chris Farley, esp on SNL...I really miss when that show was funny....
My UO is that I think shows like "Sister Wives" and whatever the new show about polygamists on TLC will be called should be banned...why the heck do we have shows that show people openly breaking the law without consequence? Plus....eww....
The car seat thing, ugh don't even get me started!
Syria, DH (former Marine) said something along the lines of the US being the only country that has the power to intervene and we look like asses if we don't.
My UA I can't stand misspelled memes on FB. It isn't cute, it looks ridiculous.
Another one is, I'm not dressing up to pick DS up from school, so go ahead and judge me you faux trendy mom.
I don't think kids should get a set allowance. It's called being a part of a family and doing your part to keep the family home from looking like a pigsty. If kids would like to make some cash they can do "extra". This UO brought to you by the fact that my 10 year old said ALL of her friends get an allowance. I told her I am not those kids Mother and couldn't care less what they did in their home.
I told her she sleeps in her bed,she can make it. She drinks out of her glass, she can wash it,if she wants to make some cash she can do extra chores and earn it.

Only because we have elected ourselves the global police. And just because we have the power to intervene, doesn't mean we should.
As for your DH - give him a big hug and tell him "Thank You" for his service. Regardless of political/religious beliefs that has to be the second toughest job out there (right behind being a soldier's wife back home).

I didn't get an allowance, but when I turned 16 I either had to get a summer job or go to camp. In the city I lived in they had summer jobs for teens. You'd a get a stipend every week, i got to keep that. What I'm thinking is, LO will have chores, keeping b.room clean, bed making, clothes washing. Anything after that is extra and she can get $ from that. Then at 16 she can get a summer job and 10.00 will be set aside into a saving account and she can keep the rest of the check to do wtih what she wants, BUT, she won't get any extra money.

That's sort of how it worked when I was a kid. I got a job working @ Jack in the box when I was 16, had to save part of it. I DO think I had more than a fair amount of chores, and I think it should be more towards the child's age.
Gabbie is responsible for cleaning her room, she has her own bathroom so she has to keep it picked up,wipe down the sink with a clorox wipe after getting ready, hang towel. She also has to rinse her dishes and load them. I wash her laundry but it is her job to fold/hang put it away. Pick up any mess she makes doing crafts,etc..
When she wants to make $ I have her clean and sweep the back patio, pull weeds or something I just don't want to do.lol
Buy Buy Baby's texts for discount coupons are computer generated yet they type them as if they are not (i.e. 4 days 2 redeem UR discount!) ... drives me batty! Spell the dang word! And if you're texting me a coupon, don't make me click a link that will take me to you're site which then has the coupon. Just send it to me.
I think leaving your kid in their pjs all day, even if you're not going anywhere, is lazy past the newborn stage.
I always look nice when I pick up/drop off my kids. That doesn't make me "faux trendy". It just means I don't like to look like a slob in public. Do I put on a pound of makeup and six inch heels? No, but I'm not braless in sweats talking with the other parents and teachers either.
My kids don't get allowance and will never. We pay them for bigger, extra chores like yard work or washing the car. I have a chore chart on the fridge and they are required to do household chores every day before they can go and play.
If its hot, I get that. DS2 gets sweaty as hell and he was in a dipe most of the summer. But with pajamas, I just don't see what the difference is in redressing them in their pjs vs or dressing them in comfy clothes. At least if you have to run somewhere they're already dressed. Again though, my exception is when they're tiny.
Haha, DD and I both get dressed every day. She's either in just a diaper around the house or wearing something cute. I don't care if she crawls around in the dirt and grass outside and gets dirty, she's still well dressed. I try to dress well too. I'm only an after school nanny, but I feel so much better if I'm in an outfit I like as opposed to yoga pants and a t-shirt.

Oh I'm dressed appropriately, I can't get away without a bra I am always showered, jeans, powder and mascara (I have adult acne and will not leave the house bare) at least, but there are moms dressed super cute, that have their coach purses and stuff. I have a coach purse, but I barely use it with a diaper bag, plus why do I need it for pick up?
Pjs? Meh I don't care as long as teeth are brushed. It only happens o ce in a blue moon and DS thinks it is so cool.
We do a points system. Each chore is one point after x amount of points he gets x dollars or something on grocery day.
I believe art and music are important parts of school and should not be cut. My area started to when I was in school. It inspires creative thinking which is lacking in school. I also believe public school should not enforce a uniform. I find it to be another way to strictly conform The student body when while young kids need to explore there personality. Though obvious dress code still need but in don't find uniform nessicary.
I suppose thinking of we're the heck we will send lily when old enough sparked that.
