Frozen at Day 6

So I had my ER Thurs 8/29. 5 eggs, 5 fertilized, then down to 4, then down to 3, yesterday down to 2 - one excellent and one very good. Told me going to day 6, to get second to catch up. This afternoon, number 2 "didn't meet criteria" and number 1 graded 4 AB. Didn't meet criteria?! It was very good yesterday!?!? Really down to only have one. Transfer probably in 6 weeks after cycle and more meds and more shots. So scared to go back through a full cycle if this doesn't work...

    That's so tough.  Did they tell you why that happened?  I'm about to get my three day report and I'm terrified that we won't have any make it to freeze.  We have said this was a one shot deal so I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us!

    TTC since 3/2011 Adenomyosis, LPD, hypothyroidism. 
    BFP on 7/20/12 after 4 cycles Clomid + IUI 
    2 large subchorionic hematomas & no heartbeat at 7w6d   
    D&E 8/18/12 Sonohysterography found septum and necrotic tissue.   
    Hysteroscopy to remove both 10/5
    IUI #5-7 50mg Clomid + trigger = BFN  
    IUI #8 Femara + Bravelle + HCG + Progesterone = BFP 3/27/13
    Beta 1 (13dpo) = 169  Beta 2 (17dpo) = 1073  No heartbeat at 9w3d. 
    D & C 5/10/13  Triploidy 69 (paternal inherited)
    IVF #1 with ICSI and PGS 11R 8M 5F 2 biopsied/frozen
    PGS results = 1 with trisomy 13 & 1 good embryo for FET 
    FET #1 EV, estrace, nitro patches.  Cancelled due to thin lining
    FET #1.2 oral estrace, f'ing nitro patches and no delestrogen.  Transfer 12/31. BFN
    PAIF/SAIF welcome
    Surprise BFP on 6/13/14  Our only unmedicated bfp ever.
    Beta #1 339  Beta #2 649 44 hour doubling time

    I'm sorry you didn't have more to freeze.

    16R/6M/6F/2-8 cell grade 1 transfer
    Beta 1-237.9, Beta 2-566, Beta 3-8657
    US 6w3d shows one baby w/ HB 115
    US 7w1d no more heartbeat/ D&C 11/30/12 normal karyotype
    IVF#3 Mar 2013
    6R/4M/4F 1 compacting and 2-8 cell transfer
    ectopic pg MTX given 3 month break from TTC

    IVF#4 Sept 2013--BFN

    So sorry to hear this.  I know it feels awful to have that happen.  I have had some similar outcomes.  My most recent cycle, I had 2 fertilize and were looking okay on day 3, but were crappy by day 5. When I talked to my Dr. he said that most likely the embryos that make it past day 3 but stop developing around day 5 and 6 are genetically abnormal.  It was good to get some kind of explanation from him - but it didn't hurt any less.
    I hope your remaining embryo is a strong and healthy one. Good luck!

    Me:38 - TTC for 3+years - Multiple failed IUIs (w/clomid, femara,injectibles - all BFNs) IVF #1 - Jan 2012, CP -IVF#2 March 2012, CP - Went back to IUIs all summer. Multi-Cycle Egg banking for FET. Egg retrieval #1 October, 2 frosties. Retrieval#2 January 2013. 6 eggs banked - waiting to be fertilized in March, FET March! Zero eggs survived thaw process - FET Cancelled. New RE - Now banking Embryos for PGS - July ER- 3 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized, 1 genetically normal embryo! FET - Feb. 2014, BFP - Mar. 2014, EDD 11/6/14 It's a GIRL!

    I'm so sorry you're going through this.  I have one frozen day 6 blast that I am transferring next month.  I'm terrified it's not enough.  But at the same time it's the best I've had so far.  I totally understand not wanting to do another full cycle if the FET fails.  I already have anxiety about where we will find the money to do our 3rd.  It's weird but I also feel like the further we go the closer we are getting to success.....I really hope so anyway!  I hope our single frost babies are all we need! FX for us both. GL

    Thanks to all of you. I know we are all going through our own ups and downs so your words and encouragement means a lot. One good one is better than nothing. I just am praying it snuggles in and stays once it is transferred. You are all in my prayers. Thanks again. Good luck!
