Nesting period?

Idk if its my anxiety/stress about everything I've been going through with DH's family and the loss of my niece .. But I've just had crazy urges to clean and get everything done around the house! My mom laughed at me and said, oh he is definitely coming soon! And that's when it hit me.. An I going through the nesting period?

Are you ladies going through it also?

I'm only 30 weeks and its nerve wrecking to me!

    I haven't hit this yet since I've slowly been checking things off the list. I think around 36 weeks I probably will.

    It's hard for me to tell because I tend to be a cleaning and organizing freak anyway but in the past week it seems like I've really kicked it into high gear.  Then again, after having DS at 34w6d - I have difficulty seeing past that date - even though I'm getting weekly injections to hopefully avoid that.  Sounds like you may be nesting/coping with stress.

    I go in spurts, if I have energy I try to pick a task I can finish. Some nights I'm too tired to do more than dinner. DH has been working on our basement for months and I am ready for that to be finished so that some of what is keeping me from getting stuff done is out of my way and I can organize and out more stuff away. I know there is still a battle ahead over his dads junk that is still in our house... It needs to go away!

    I organized all the kitchen cabinets this past weekend to make room for the babies stuff. Ill gone thru many diff periods of nesting over the past few months. Running out of things to do!

    I don't know if I would call it nesting or just wanting to get sh!t done before the baby comes. I have been deep cleaning a new room every weekend in order to get the house ready. I even had my car detailed in the inside one weekend.

    I never even nested with DS so I don't know what to say.  It could just be that you want to get things ready.

    No nesting here yet. I hope it comes because there is a ton of stuff that needs to get done before she gets here! I'm 31, almost 32 weeks.

    I thunk it's an ongoing thing for me. I have a long list of things I want done and when I have time and energy I work on them.

    This past weekend I primed, painted, and finished a bookshelf. Went through all the clothes I have for LO already, and sewed some baby blankets. Still lots to do, but feeling ok about where I am.

    oh crud, I hadnt even thought of this.  I guess the wine glasses are getting downsized to the basement in a few months.
    as to 'nesting' i went through a wicked "get things organized" not able to sit still stage in the second Tri and just rolled with it.  I get shorter bursts of it now, but I try and take advantage of all the energy I can.  we have soooo much to do before she gets here.

    I only nested on the days my kids were born. With DS, I woke up with the need to go complete our registry and arrived at BRU before it even opened. From there I got fitted for nursing bras then went and picked out the final fixtures for the kitchen we were remodeling. I had an appointment with a carpet company in my home that night for the nursery. (They got the first call that i was in labor because we had to cancel.) He came that night.
    With DD it was my birthday and after dinner I absolutely had to put her crib together and put the decals on her wall. Two hours later we were headed to the hospital.
    Guess when I finally do some baby stuff I should start with packing my bags.
