Castiel?

Hi, I'm Brielle. I have two children (twins, both almost 2) and I'm expecting again. I took awhile to choose a name, because I need this one to be perfect since it is my last. Or at least that's what the doctors said. I'm sick, I have cancer but I found out about it a month ago and I was cleared to finish my pregnancy. Not only that, but I've had a miscarriage before (it was a girl, she was going to be named Sherlock, courtesy of my Fiancées wishes.) My son is named Cameron, and my daughter is named Noelle. I'm having another boy, and my cousin suggested the name Castiel. I love it, personally, but I don't know, should I use that name or something else? Oh and what do I use as a middle name?

    Good luck with both your pregnancy and fighting your cancer! I like Castiel, though it does remind me of the character from Supernatural. I've never seen the show but I've read the name on tumblr and other sites.. Is it pronounced "Ca-steal" or "Cas-T-el"?

    Okay, that helps. I'm kind of thinking it would sound too similar to Noelle though. (BTW, love the name Noelle)

    I think Castiel sounds pretty but it reminds me of the soap wipes we use in the icu (in a nurse). It is spelled differently but pronounced the same. All I think of is soap when I hear it.

    Yes, any Supernatural fans would assume you named your son after a major character from that show. I haven't heard it anywhere else. I like the name but can't get over the connection.

    I love it & love the NN Cas! I would love to use it, but I already have a Dean. That would be too much Supernatural, haha.

    I like it but to me it doesn't 'go' with your other children's names. If that doesn't bother you then go for it!
