Today was my 10 week appointment

It went great! Got to hear the hb on the doppler at about 160bpm. Doctor jokingly said it's a girl, we all had a laugh, and he said, no seriously, it is probably a girl. He has 20 years experience, and the daughters, so only time will tell if his guess was right! It was such a relief to actually hear the hb on the doppler, as with my last pregnancy we never got the chance. Knowing the baby is still doing well gives me a renewed hope to get me through till my next appointment.

My first appt us friday soo anxious to hear bby hb but is it too early for hb being im 7 weeks preggo? And congrats its reassuring when you hear the hb

I don't think they will even try it at seven weeks. You can rarely hear it at 9 weeks, sometimes at 10 weeks, but usually constantly by 12 weeks. I hope you have a good appointment, though!

I had my 8 wk appt yesterday. The dr. used a transvaginal ultrasound. She said it was too early for the doppler and likes to wait till 14 wks.

Great news!! I heard my babys heartbeat at 7w3d.. even saw the little heart flutter!! They did a transvaginal u/s

How exciting! Congrats mama!

@mooncusp22, unless they used a Doppler, you probably heard a simulation, not the actual hb. They usually can't actually hear it until about 10w, sometimes later. But it can be seen on u/s around 6w, where they can simulate what it sounds like.

Exciting to know all is well! The doctor was predicting girl based solely on the fetal HR? It will def be interesting to see what actually is growing inside!

I was 7.5 weeks at my first appt and my OBGYN wouldn't even attempt to hear the HB. He said it was too early. Going back at 11 weeks. I cannot wait. I think it will finally feel real once I hear the thump thump thump!

I had my first us at 7w0d and she did abdominal and transvaginal. We were able to see and hear the hb! It was 146!!!

Great news! Had my six week appt yester. Next one in 4 weeks! Barely heard HB but saw it flutter! Just curious, r u showing yet at 10 weeks?

@tushjhav I have a super short torso, and I'm a chunky monkey. My body is definitely changing. I have put on two pounds, but it looks like more than that. Between that and the bloat, I'm not really starting to show, but my body looks a lot different than it did before. It is Wednesday, so I'll probably take a pictures when I get out of bed, and for you, I will do a comparison from when I just found out.
