Parenting after 35

What's up, ladies?

We're all good here. DS1 is starting back at school this week, got his sweet curls trimmed for going back, DS2 is running around like crazy and we've all got Summer colds.

How are you guys?

Re: What's up, ladies?

  • No!!! Can't trim the curls! Getting ready for school on Tuesday. What a relief, but I'm also not ready for summer to be done. At all.

Also - when I saw your title, two phrases came to mind. Snoochie Boochies. And wass' happenin man. Thanks Netflix.

  • DS starts K4 tomorrow, and it is way overcast here today. Bleh!  So spending the day organizing for school, beats, party, and grandparent visit. I took tomorrow off to see DS off to school, and go out for breakfast with cocktails :-) . DD is registered for some class starting next Monday.  so far we are healthy, fingers crossed!

  • What a strange day!! 4 in school, someone hold me! I was not impressed though when T said they did the usual in school today. Wtf, it's the first day of school, there is no usual. S didn't like this, she wanted to do what the big kids were doing. And L didn't want to talk before he left, first day of high school (gr 10 here)  and he was all nerves.

Awwww... I get that. I can totally see M saying he did the usual at school on the first day of school. And L's a teenager. Not talking is part of the deal.

Not looking forward to it and will expect a Granville Island Lager and some commiseration in 10 years time. ;)

Done. And I've been product testing for you. That chocolate stout that was seasonal, I looked everywhere and phoned them and they said wait until fall. Found some more of other brands, bleh. I'll get you some when the good stuff comes back.
