Nighttime diaper not holding up. Advice please!

DS has been soaking through his nighttime diapers for the last 3 consecutive nights. I had to change and wash his sheet, mattress pad, and even his bumper. My MIL put a cloth diaper inside his nighttime diaper tonight to see if that would help, but he seems very uncomfortable. Anyone else gone through this have good advice? TIA!

  • We had the same issue. We have been using diaper booster pads since our DS has been 8 months. We get ours from ToysRUs/ babies r us and they are pretty reasonable. They work well and I can count on one hand how many times he has soaked through since using them and he is 20 months now. Good luck!

  • Maybe get the next size up? Seems like everytime we had that issue it was time to size up, and it was over until the next time to move up again

This is what I was thinking. I know they are crazy expensive but the Pampers goodnight ones or just Pampers on their own work well for us

ps OP, I love your baby's hair!

  • We double diaper at night. One on regular, one on backwards.

  • Thanks for the advice! Sounds like I will try all of the above :)
Thatoneredhead-- that is such an old pic, but can't get enough of his hair either! Happy to say he is almost 18 months and still a ginger :)

  • We went a size up and got the Pampers extra absorbent nighttime diapers.  That seemed to help a lot.

  • i swear by the purple box- huggies or pampers- in a size larger than the day time size
  • I had same issue. The Huggins overnight in a size up works we some for us.

  • DS always wears a size up for bedtime. We use Up&up and love them.

  • Thanks for the suggestions! We use huggies right now, but I think we will try the next size up in whichever brand we decide to buy

Same for us. Maybe you need to try a different brand diaper? We use Huggies Baby Dry overnight in a size up from normal because they work better for us.

  • Definitely try the next size up if you haven't already.  My daughter wears a size 4 Pampers Cruisers during the day, but a size 5 at night.  I was having the same problem as you, but using the next size did the trick.

  • We use the extra insert that you can get at BRU and it has worked wonders.  We can't really size up yet as they would be huge!!

  • I LOOOVE Honest diapers! They are a few cents more per diaper than store brands, but we save money because they absorb a lot more. Last all night most nights! And they're chemical free.

  • Huggies Night Diapers, purple box NOT Pampers = our saving grace!
