Where does your LO sleep at night?

My LO sleeps in his bassinet (or swing if it's a bad night!) in our room. He's almost 8 weeks old and we are thinking of transitioning him to his crib in the nursery across the hall. We have a video monitor and angle care monitor but I'm still nervous to move him out of our room since I've read the risk of SIDS is reduced if baby sleeps in your room... Any other moms whose babies sleep in their own nursery now? If so, any advice on how to ease my nerves? Thanks!

My little love sleeps in the RnP next to our bed. She's 8 weeks and I have no interest in transitioning to her room.

LO sleeps in the PNP in our room. We are going to start transitioning him to the crib at 3 months. (I think lol)

DS sleeps in the Summer Infant cosleeper in our room. When he outgrows it we will transition to crib that is still in our master bedroom for now. We are torn because we love bed sharing w/DD, but our bed isn't big enough for all four of us.

So we are going to bite the super-sucky bullet and get both kids to their own rooms. Coffee will be my friend (as usual).

LO slept in her bassinet in our room for the first 5 weeks. We moved her in her crib in her nursery and has been sleeping there for the past 2 weeks. She's a loud sleeper so I found that I actually sleep better now that she's in her room. I can still easily hear her from our room when she fusses. The first few nights are tough but you'll get used to it. Good luck!

DS started sleeping in his RNP in his room at 5 weeks. We have a video monitor and its pointed right at his face. I'll move him to his crib in the next month or so.

She's in our room for now. Either in swing or rock n play or Moses basket. We want to move her to her crib in nursery really soon.

DD has always started the night in her crib, and then moved to a bassinet next to me after the first feeding. I'm just now starting to think of putting her back down in her crib after she wakes. I may try it for a few nights to see how it goes. Our apt is small, so I can hear her even without a monitor.

Thanks for everyone's input. Looks like we are all over the board on this topic. :-) I'm sure I'll find what works best for me but like many of you said, it's the little noises that wake us up. We also have a creaky floor so if LO goes to sleep before us, we sometimes accidentally wake him up when we walk into the room. =-/

Both DD and DS slept in the crib in their own room from day 1. We have a video monitor and the room is right across the hall from us. They both were noisy and move around a lot when they sleep so this lets everyone get the most restful night sleep possible.

Gavin has been in his nursery since day 1, that's what it's there for lol! We have an awesome video monitor that allows us to pan the room so I can see him from every angle. Plus, if he were in my room I would never sleep between him making noises, DH snoring and our puggle snoring, lol!

LO is six weeks and has slept in his own room since about 4 weeks. Like others have said, we also sleep much better now because LO was a noisy sleeper and always waking us up just stirring in his sleep.

We also have a video monitor that allows us to keep a good eye on him. I would definitely recommend it over a sound only monitor because several times a night he makes squeaks and whines in his sleep and could I not see that he was still sleeping I would've lost a lot of sleep constantly getting up to check on him.

DD sleeps in the bassinet portion of the pack n play but she is a few ounces away from the 15lb limit so we will be transitioning to the crib in the next week - sad because I really don't want her to leave!!

My LO sleeps in his bedroom with me in a queen sized bed. I plan to transition him to his crib by the time he's 3 months.

He's been in his crib for about 3 weeks now. He is 8 weeks old. We just have a regular baby monitor (not video) it was hard the first few nights but now I prefer it. He is very noisy at night. Sometimes I wish I had a video monitor because every once in a while his noises still trick me and I get up only to find out he is actually still asleep.

Mine sleeps in his pnp bassinet from 9-6 am (with feeds in between) and then from 6-8 am in bed with me. I thought I would transition him to his crib at 10 weeks but that's next week! I might push it to 12 weeks although I miss my husband.

DS has slept in his room, in his crib since 4 weeks. He is over 5 now. It's been great. He did fine with the transition. I could have kept him in our room longer but we figured since he did so well with it, may as well take advantage since he might be more resistant to it later.

DD sleeps in her crib and has since about 7-8 weeks. She sleeps better in the crib then she did in our bed. I have a video monitor and she is 10 steps away.

DH works midnights, so I keep LO in the RnP next to the bed so I'm not lonely

He'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and I don't plan to transition until he outgrows the RnP. He naps in his crib, swing/bouncer or boppy lounger during the day (if he's not passed out on me).

LO has slept in her crib in her nursery since coming home from the hospital. We were traveling one weekend and had her in the PNP in our room and we could hear every little noise. It works better for us this way.

This was our initial plan with DS1 but it ended up being more like 8 months. We may transition DS2 out sooner cause he is really noisy!

We cosleep, I was using a snuggle nest in the bed, but he out grew it, and now he is pretty much in the bed with me all night. He does sleep in his crib for the first part of the night usually till 11pm or so. DS is a snacker and still nurses 3-4 times at night, and I am back at work, so it's the only way we both get decent sleep.

She's 6 weeks old and sleeps either in bed with DH and me or her RnP next to the bed. I want to transition to crib by about 10/12 weeks, but whether it will be in our room or the room thst she'll share with her sister will depend on how well she's sleeping at that point. Now she wakes about every 3 hours so I can't imagine having her in another room.

Thanks to the scary rnp post from the other day, we started sleeping in the bassinet at 5 weeks. He's doing great. I want to put him in the crib but he shares a room with ds1.

We just moved DS to his crib in his room from 8pm until 5am. At his 5 am feed, we move him to the pack and play bassinet in our room or he gets to sleep in our bed until his 7am session.

In a PNP next to our bed (7 weeks old). I planned to move him to his crib in the nursery at 2-3 months because he is such a noisy sleeper, but he is still waking up every 2.5-3 hours all night to nurse. Hopefully the feedings will start to space out and I'll feel better about moving him.
