These last few days, my skinny beanpole of a DS has figured out how to wriggle out of every 5-point harness we try to put him into, specifically his high chair and stroller. I've tightened down the straps as far as they will go and he can still get out. It's especially worrying with the high chair -- he does not want to sit and eat. He twists his shoulders out and then tries to stand up. If I didn't get to him quickly he will also work his way out of the waist belt. He would rather be in the Pack & Play or in someone's lap to eat, and this just isn't practical. At least in the stroller once we get moving he is too distracted with the view to want to escape. Any ideas on how I can get Houdini to sit still?
Re: Escape artist
We barely use the stroller anymore because DD gets too restless and tries to escape, too. Now we use her tricycle anytime we can because she feels more involved. We have this- https://www.yoyo.com/p/schwinn-easy-steer-trike-51352 - which has a handle for us to steer with and a seatbelt so DD doesn't slip off the seat. I'll remove the handle when she gets bigger and can pedal on her own.
