Bumble Ride Indie Twin

Does anyone have this & what are your reviews? I will be using it with a newborn and 22 month toddler.

What are your thoughts on
- Width in shopping aisles
- pushing on grass at the park
- ease of getting into and out of the car

Re: Bumble Ride Indie Twin

  • We have it but have not had the twins yet so for practical usage I can't comment. We did a ton of research, tested out all sorts in the store and selected this one. It seems to handle well on unpaved terrain (for the little we tried around our yard.)

  • I have this, but DS is only 8 weeks old and we haven't used it a whole lot yet.  BUT I really like it as a double so far.  With the airfilled tires you should have no problem pushing it on grass.  It is an inch narrower than the BOB double.  I haven't taken it shopping yet, but I think it should be OK.  I'm hoping to avoid taking it to shopping malls if I don't have to.  I take my UBVista to Trader Joes since the basket is so large and DD is old enough to push her own little cart.  The basket on the Indie Twin was actually one of its appeals.  It is pretty large and accessible.

Its not the easiest to get in and out of the car, but I also try to fold it with the carseat attachment on which means you cant fully fold it.  so its very awkward.  But I think most doubles are beasts.

  • I have one that I got on craigslist, but it will not be a stroller that I take out and about regularly.  I currently have a single Indie, and I keep it in the laundry room and use it for walks in the neighborhood.  We also use it for theme parks, the zoo, beach, etc.  For everyday trips around town, I use an umbrella.  When I have the baby and need a double, I am getting the Joovy Caboose Ultralight Too.

I love the Indie (and Indie Twin) but it is very big and very bulky and not something I want to be lifting in and out of my trunk or trying to navigate through tight store aisle.

  • I had an Indie Twin for a couple months but I sold it and got a BOB Duallie.  I like the bigger wheels better because our neighborhood streets are rough.  That said, I wouldn't want to be getting either in and out of the car alot.  Our Duallie stays unfolded in the garage.

If you need an all terrain double, I'd consider something more manageable for your car.  I use a Bugaboo Bee with a ride on board or carrier.

  • I have used it for our girls, now *almost* 2&4 since they were 2&nb. love it, worth the $$$ I never have issues getting in door ways. I know that smaller boutiques and shops tend to have smaller isles, but I don't tend to take them with me when I am shopping those places so it is usually a non issue. Now if only Gymboree and Crazy8 would get it together!

Sure it is heavy, anything with decent wheels and a double is. It is not terrible and Its really 15 seconds, I manage.

The reason I have it is for the ease of getting around in different places. Dirt, sand, horse poop, grass, gravel. Never have had an issue. My almost 4y/o fits in it with a lot of space still.

  • My LOs are 14 months apart and we love our Indie Twin. I researched and reaserched stroller options. The indie twin was the only stroller to fit all of our needs. It goes off-road like a pro, and still fits through the narrowest of doorways and aisles. I use it for everything. It has the easiest to access basket of any I have seen. It's really easy to fold and is no more bulky than any other double.
