I'd like to ask you all to keep my mom in your thoughts. She hasn't been feeling well and she's off her medication (anxiety/depression). She apparently ran out of the meds about 2 and a half weeks ago. She needs to go to the doctor for a new prescription, but her old doctor left the practice and so she needs to find a new one. Her old doctor sucked, so this is actually a good thing in a way.
She's been super out of it. I don't know if it's being of the meds or what, but she thinks something else is medically wrong with her. She's really concerned about some kind of heart blockage (we have a family history of them). She's been getting tired really easily, has a little bit of pain in her chest, and she's VERY out of it. Yesterday at her house, she left Emily alone in her non-baby-proofed living room and I walked in to find Emily standing in the mini rocking chair. Then Mom was watching her while I filled a sippy for Em. I walked in and didn't see Em ANYWHERE. I asked Mom where Em was, then realized where she had to be. I ran to the stairs and sure enough, there she was, almost at the top. I had already grabbed Em before my asking where she was even penetrated my mom's brain. She felt horrible, so of course I didn't make a big deal out of it, but it scared me. I talked to DH and we won't be having Mom watch Em until we get this figured out.
Maybe you have to know her to understand why this is so out of character. She's usually so careful with the kids. I'm going to pull SIL aside today and tell her she may want to find alternate care for my nephew until we can get mom checked. Any prayers would be really appreciated. I'm worried because she drives a lot for her job, and the way she is right now, she shouldn't be on the road.
ETA: sorry that got rambly. Also, I don't mean to sound like I'm blowing off her concern about her heart. I'm going to make her an appointment Tuesday at my doctor's office.
