Any takers? It's so late in the day already, but thought I would see if anyone had anything to share.

I've been up since about 5am. My wife's triathlon was this morning, and I woke up when she did. Her wave didn't start until about 8:40am, and after all was said and done, it was almost 1pm before we got home. Then, it was shower and nap time. Very proud of her - it was yucky hot and humid here today. What a stupid time of year to have a tri in Texas!

Anyhow, I have an appointment tomorrow morning. Will start off my day with a lovely, chilled orange glucose drink! Yech. My mom is still in town, so we'll take her to the appointment with us. I'm very interested in knowing how he is positioned. I can tell which side he is on and can feel where his body is, but I still can't tell which end is what.

My mom has had so much fun feeling this baby move around - it's very sweet. My brother has 4 kids, but I think it's different for her actual daughter to be pregnant. Love having her here.

We're headed into shower season. Our first shower is next Sunday, and we have another in October. My work is throwing a shower sometime in October too. Feel extremely blessed and grateful that so many other people love and are excited for this baby.

Today was hectic driving all over the SF Bay area looking for interview clothes, etc for EV. Finally home and Kaden, EV and our sister-in-law are out back in the garden while I sit and try to pay attention to my class. I'm feeling pretty pregnant today. I think everyday it sinks in a little more, that we're having a baby - ANOTHER baby. We'll be a family of four soon. I am seriously thrilled and I can't wait. Kaden will be a great big brother I think (ok I'm partial ;-) Today I've felt more nausea and hunger and other weird and wacky things that just remind me of how hard my body is working. I am trying to eat healthy and get enough rest and just think positive thoughts for this little bean.

@ATXMommas Good Luck on your glucose test tomorrow - that orange drink is sooo gross, they say to just chug it but easier said than done!! It's great that your mom is visiting, it must be really special to share this journey with you :-)

@Jazibel - I'm wishing positive thoughts for your little bean too! Will be so interested as time passes to see how it works for you to go from one to two within a couple of years. I plan to do the same, though the idea is a little much to think about right now. ☺

I am a day late today but I thought I would still check in. We are doing well, 28 weeks. We have our trip to Minnesota coming up and I cannot wait to see my family. My OB is officially cutting down my ER shifts from 12 hours to 8 hours starting in October... So I only have to get through one more month of terribly long shifts. I have one tomorrow and am not looking forward to it, as I always come home with swollen feet and crabby. Lets see... What else? Oh, I passed my gestational diabetes test! Yay, for no more orange drink. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.

Yes I was off the grid as well yesterday by figured I would check in as well. Closing in on 37 weeks and I'll be honest, I'm ready physically at least to have this baby. I'm hopeful because I'm already 100% effaced (thank goodness, no discussion of intervention there) and 1 cm. I'll know the update on Thursday as far as progress. I'm not wishing for a small or unhealthy baby or anything but I will say at this point I cannot imagine going all the way to 40 weeks. Plus, I'm just ready to meet her! Patience is not a virtue I have anymore for meeting her. Although we are still debating the name..... Haha!
