How many ounces or bottles these days

Dd seems to not be as much of a fan of her bottles as she used to be (may be because of the transition to wcm) i was giving her 4 six ounce bottles each day but yesterday and the day before she skipped a whole bottle. I think the doc said 16 or 18oz was fine at this point but i cant remember for sure. How much is your baby drinking these days?

Re: How many ounces or bottles these days

  • He was drinking 6 oz 5 times a day (30 oz) at his one yr appointment dr told me to cut out a bottle.  He would always leave a few oz at some of the bottles so i knew it would be okay.  He now has 6 or 7 oz 4 times a day. Dr said he would like to limit him to 24 oz

  • DD was doing 24oz of Milk in her sippy cup. But she has low iron so the doctor said no more than 16oz a day because too much milk can cause low iron.

  • Eryn gets four five ounce sippy cups of formula a day.  We aren't switching her to milk for a while yet.  We are talking no less than 6 months.
  • Charlotte just turned one this weekend and still takes three, 8 ounce bottles. We are transitioning to toddler formula and then to milk. After that, we will start dropping bottles. She takes straw cups of water like a champ so I am hopeful for a good transition.
  • 0 bottles. Usually he has about 16 oz of milk in sippy cups, 4oz of juice and lots of water.
He would much rather have food than fill up in milk. He eats 3 meals and 2-3 healthy snacks a day.

This is us as well. If he needs a bottle to go to bed it has to be formula again.
  • 3x 6oz sippy cups of her formula a day plus tons of water and sometimes my smoothies.

  • My sister is a pediatrician and she said kids should only have about 15 oz of milk a day. LO naturally seems to only drink about 5 oz at a time, so we do that at meal times and water if she seems thirsty otherwise.

  • No more bottles! We offer her 3 sippys of about 7/8oz of whole milk a day. She usually drinks it all.

  • At daycare, 3 bottles that are 4oz each. (Mix of cow milk and breastmilk.)

At home, nurse twice in the evening/night. Hopefully down to 1 soon, then zero. He still isn't happy about cutting out the morning nursing session!

  • Has water available in a sippy all day.  Takes 3 bottles (7 oz each, but doesn't always finish the bottles) of WCM.  We just finished weaning from formula.  I tried to give him WCM in the sippys but hes not having any of it.

He has 2 or 3 snacks a day as well as 3 meals a day.  Breakfast is usually small but at lunch and supper he eats a ton.
