ikea crib?

I'm starting to look at cribs and was wondering about Ikea cribs.  My DH has has had some bad experiences putting some IKEA stuff together so he is skeptical about them being safe and sturdy.  Anybody have any reviews of any of the IKEA cribs?  Thanks

    I dont personally have a review yet, but I will be purchasing an Ikea crib. They have great reviews on consumer reports and Ive read other boards with great reviews on them. Im for sure going the Ikea route.

    I have 2 gulliver cribs. I have one that is the old version, all wood and one that is the new version, with a fiberboard base. I do not love the newer version, it bows down in the center a bit. I still believe it is safe, it just sags. I recommend with reservations.

    We have the Sundvik crib for 10 months now.  Easy to put together (DH even took it apart once in order to move it out of our bedroom into the nursery).  I picked the Sundvik because I like the look of the 2 full panel wood on the short ends.  In hind sight, I wish I had gotten the other model that has slats on all 4 sides.  DS loves to snuggle up against the short end and when he rolls around MOTN, he often bangs his head against the solid panel.  It doesn't wake him up, but the noise often wakes ME up!

    I have the Gulliver and it's been great. Perfectly sturdy, no sags, no complaints at all.

    I love our Gulliver as well. It's perfectfly sturdy, and I love the clean simple design. I will mention that once he was rolling and flopping around, my son was always getting his arms and legs stuck between the slats, so we did end up putting a bumper in there. Not sure if that's related to the spacing of the slats, though, or just his active sleep habits!

    We have had our Sundvik crib for over a year and we love it! We haven't had any problems with the quality. We have noticed that our daughter loves to kick the solid ends and it makes a lot of noise.
