Update to T&P

Just wanted to give an update from our appointment with the specialist on Fri. The specialist was great and very helpful. During the appointment he did a physical exam and was surprised at how active and oxygenated LO was. According to her lab work he expected her to be much paler and lethargic. Based on the old lab work and the physical exam he thinks that her anemia is likely vitamin deficiency related or possibly form of thalassemia. They drew blood for additional analysis and he did a blood smear. Based on the blood smear he was able to rule out any kind of bone marrow disease. They were also able to rule out any issues with her thyroid based on her old blood work. We are waiting for lab work results which will take @ 2 weeks. In the meantime he suggested that we double the amount of iron that she is getting. He did say that it is possible to have a severe iron related anemia, so maybe doubling that amount of iron would be helpful.
