incorporating from a distance

As I get closer to my edd I wonder how on earth I am going to incorporate SS from a distance. He wont be meeting her until the next visit, but I would like a nice way to announce his sister's arrival. BM is picky, based on her mood, on when she answers phone calls so I wonder if she will even answer around our due date. Yes I would like SS to be one of the firsts to know, but with her games, idk if thats possible. I dont want to base LO arrival on her mood .... Thoughts? Suggestions?

  • Can something be delivered to SS? (i.e. a package with a picture of LO, a Big Brother shirt, a letter from LO & a letter from dad, a toy from LO, etc.) Will BM let him open it? Or is there more amicable family near SS that a package could be delivered to, and they'll make sure he gets it?

I am in a similar situation but am a little earlier in my pregnancy (my husband is in the military, and we are about 7 hours from SS). I have already been thinking about how we are going to do this, and love twister's idea. My husband's family all lives where my SS and his mother live, so I was hoping that SS could spend the night with his cousins and get a chance to be around people who will be excited about the birth.

Edit: Made no sense when I re-read it!
