Baby einstein jumperoo

I'm about to throw this damn thing out the window. I finally took it out to put together yesterday, and made great progress. However, for the life of me I can not get the damn tray attached. I can't attach the buckles from the spring......I've spent a solid hour on this, broke a sweat and still nothing. Has anyone else had this issue? I googled and nothing came up, so apparently it's not a common problem...... I desperately want to get this done so LO has something aside from her activity mat to stimulate her but right now the damn jumperoo is winning. Anyone have any insight?

  • I have it... You might need an extra set of hands when you are attaching the springs and seat together - otherwise I did the rest on my own.

  • Lol, have you tried to put some of the sides on the top (yellow) notch? It makes it closer together, if you get what I am saying?

Like.. it is curved and closer at the top..so set all the red ball things to the top.. and it should be a lot easier!

True. The instructions say to assemble it at the highest notch, and then you can move it down once it's put together. DH did ours so I'm not much help, but the baby loves it! Hope you get yours together soon!

Oh is that what the instructions say? Lol, I never read them unless I am having really big trouble. I found the only part difficult was that sun attachment cause it would not hook properly... then when I put Connor in it.. snap, he pulled it off instantly and now it is stripped lol

  • I didn't put the sun in right the first time either! DS pulled it right out. I have it in right now.

We didn't have any problems with our sun. Make sure it's not the one that was recalled... If it is, they will send you a new toy to replace the sun.

  • Thanks for the link! I bought ours yesterday in fact, after he pulled it out a few times I finally forced it in and it has stayed in even though my son is determined to try and pull it out again, almost lifting himself up lol.

  • I bought that one, came home and my mom told me about the recall. The serial numbers matched. I returned it for a fisher price one. I was surprised that no one at the store cared about the recall.

Are you sure it was the recalled product? The serial numbers will match but it's the code number on the back of the seat that matters. I bought one the other day and it only affects products sold before May 2013 (and not all of them).  I guess a store could still have them stocked though.
  • Most stores are pretty quick to remove recalled products from the sales floor.

In this case it was one piece that a few people had an issue with, and you can have them send you a new piece... NBD but that's just my opinion.

The date code for mine is OD3, and it doesn't look like the same sun - so it isn't recalled, but the sun piece came off again. I am just going to leave it off and put some duct tape over the hole.

As you can see the middle part is stripped as well as one of the squares.

This. The whole bouncer isn't dangerous, it's just one toy that could snap back and hit baby. It's easy to get a replacement toy if the recall pertains to your bouncer, and you can still use it without that one toy in the meantime. Mine wasn't even one of the ones affected, but if it had been, I would have just got the new sun toy. Nbd. Not like the whole bouncer was dropping babies or strangling them or something.

  • Thanks for the help ladies. I missed the sentence about attaching while bouncer was in highest position. That made life much easier! She's playing in it now!
