I've done Jillian michaels 7 day detox a handful of times (google it). It basically helps you lose excess water weight And a lb or 2 more due to the excess drinking and eating less. I've always lost 5-10lbs when I have done it. I won't do it now while breastfeeding though cause I figure the excess water is important.
If you're going to detox, the way to do it is by reducing processed foods, no alcohol or caffeine for a week,TONS of water, all-natural 100% cranberry juice and tons of fruits and vegetables and lean protein. ANything else is not beneficial to your health or weight over the long run.
None of them work long term. They all work while you do them of course... Very few calories going in, water weight being shedded and pooping lots will obviously leave you 5-10 pounds lighter. Also, I'm a mega bitch when I don't eat and don't want to do that to DS. However, tomorrow starts my "summers over, time to lose the last 5-10 pounds of baby weight." I will be drinking TONS of water, although I want to infuse with cucumbers or fruit in hopes I'll drink it more. Then I'm sticking with a raw food cleanse but adding in a little cooked lean protein (due to my carnitine deficiency). Hoping this wont be as difficult as a juice cleanse. I am more worried about getting back in to a work out routine than the food thing though. Ah!
