  I know that every dr is different with how long they keep you on the PIO. My dr wants me to stay on it until 12-14 weeks, and its so painful already. Best of luck! :-*

  I had to take it until 12 weeks but I ran out at 11w4d and just stopped then

  originially i was supposed to be on them until 12 weeks but at 8 weeks developed a sterile abscess and they told me to stop and just continue the crinone but at a double dose, so that's what i did.  i stopped the crinone and estradiol at 12 weeks.  

  Me (37) DH (39); PCOS changed to Unexplained, changed to DOR in 2012 (finally a correct diagnosis!); 

  Started TTC 2009 with RE after 6 months.  

  Clomid + Trigger x2; 

  IUI + Femara x1,

  IUI + Follistim x2;

  IVF #1 (MDL) February 2013- BFN.

  IVF #2 (antagonist) May 2013, First BFP of my life. 

  Identical twin miracle BOYS (!!) headed our way- due date is technically 2/4/14 but c section is scheduled for 1/7!

  I was told I would be on it till week 12 so I begged to swap to endometrin and besides having to wear a panty liner all the time I am a much happier person! My butt had huge lumps that were red and itchy! I hate PIO!

   My Dr had me stop when I was six weeks along.  My progesterone between the last couple appts were between 229-295....so pretty darn high.  I go back on Tuesday for another ultrasound and check progesterone level.

  IVF #1 July 2013 with Menopur, Bravelle, Ganirelix, HCG trigger, Progesterone

  Beta 1(8/1): 401, Beta 2(8/5): 1822  1st U/S: 8/13: 2 sacs!!!  2nd U/S: 8/20: 2 healthy heartbeats!!

  My reproductive immunologist said between 12-14 weeks. Almost there!

  Thank you for all the replies. Looks like I have 8 or so more weeks to go. I had to give my own PIO for the first time as DH went to visit his parents. It took me 20 minutes to do it because I kept chickening out. I do have a few boxes of endometrin left that cost waaaay more than the PIO. I think it was $200 vs $5. I may ask RE thoughts on switching.

  I stopped PIO at 10 weeks and switched to crinone until I was 12 weeks. I hated the PIO and it was pretty painful by the end, but after experiencing the awfulness of crinone, I'm not sure which one was worse. . .  :-/

  I was on them for 10 weeks total - the 2ww between retrieval and BFP, and then the first 8 weeks of my pregnancy.

  until 10 weeks (yesterday!). I was allowed to switch to endometrium after I saw the hb at 6 weeks if I wanted to. I decided to stay on PIO though.
