Not losing weight while BF

So you hear over and over that breastfeeding makes the weight drop right off... so far, at *almost* 9 weeks PP that's not the case for me. Ive been EBF, eat pretty healthy and drink lots of water. Has anyone had/ or are having a similar experience?

9 weeks is pretty early on

Do make sure you are taking in enough calories - I think that's the biggest mistake people make. Not eating enough will make you hold onto the weight you have. Get some exercise and make healthy choices and it will happen!

I am not losing weight either. I've been up 20lbs since the week after the birth. I'll have to buy new work clothes too.

Me too...up 20lb and dreading going back to work because nothing fits yet:-( It might be that I am afraid of not eating enough while BF since I wasn't producing enough in the beginning. I have been eating pretty healthy and drinking tons of water but it doesn't budge

Almost 11 months pp and still have 10lbs to lose (and I only gained lbs while KU). I've just accepted that I'll probably be hanging onto it until I wean. Sucks!

I still have about 5-10 lbs left 12 weeks postpartum - and figure I'll lose it when LO weans. I still fit into pre-pregnancy clothes, except in the bust.

Ditto. I think those 10lbs are pretty much all boob.

No matter what I did/do I'm one of those people who don't lose weight until after I'm done nursing I hang onto those last 15 lbs

It's a slow process! You're burning extra calories but you need to make sure sure taking In enough to make up for that. 9 weeks is VERY soon. It took 9 months to gain the weight, expect that long to lose it too.
