Pregnancy Safe Cleaning Products

Does anyone know of any pregnancy safe all purpose cleaners?

Re: Pregnancy Safe Cleaning Products

  • You can always make your own. I love vinegar. Vinegar and baking soda are common ingredients I see. Check out Pinterest too.

  • I have Seventh Generation all purpose cleaner, I think that would be safe. Its a botanical disinfectant and is non-VOC.
  • I used everything I used before getting pregnant. I just make sure to limit exposure if I use something with lots of fumes, as well as open the windows.

Although I'm a horrible housekeeper and might give more thought to this if I spent more time in contact with those products!

  • I'm another vinegar lover. I fill a spray bottle with half vinegar/half water and then add a few drops of sunlight dish soap. It works great!

I use Mrs Meyers and Method brands as well as vinegar.

Clarification: I use these all the time, not just while pregnant. They are generally "greener" than other cleaners. I still use bleach for the toilets though - I just use gloves and try not to inhale.

  • My mom made her own. I think she used vinegar, a little bit of isopropyl alchohol, a drop or two of dish soap and water. Pinterest has a ton of DIY cleaners.

  • Vinegar and water is a good, cheap, and easy cleaner. Also anything that is "green" works.
