HS reunion update

Don't know if anyone remembers my post a while back about being undecided about attending my 10yr high school reunion. It was going to be $180 (seriously?) for H and I to attend, a three day event (way too long), etc etc. Anyway, just got an email from the class president saying it was cancelled from lack of registrants! Only 8 people (out of a class of nearly 400) registered! And I'm betting most of those 8 were in the planning committee. How sad is that?? I feel bad for those who spent time planning it. But at least I don't have to worry about it now!

    @LaBe44a they are actually keeping the family day at the park event. But instead of providing the food they will just have a food truck for people to buy their own. Sounds like a better option to me!

    Yeah, a weekend long even is a little much! I don't really blame everyone for not wanting to devote that kind of time.

    That sounds like what happened to my HS reunion.  They originally wanted it to be a weekend event but no one was interested.  They they made it a Friday night meet up at our HS football game.  I think 15 people ended up going.  I didn't because it was not worth the 6 hour round trip drive.

    Oh wow, I have zero intention of going to mine, whatever they decide to do. I won't give them 3 hours let alone 3 days... Thats nuts!
