Re: s/o walking?

  • I had an early walker with my first and Lucas both took first alone steps at 10 months and we're flat out running and not wobbling by 11 months so I don't think it much matters when they start just depends on the kid.

My middle was a year exactly when he really walked he had been taking steps for weeks before but not if he knew you were watching, he still won't do anything publicly unless he's sure he can do it well.

  • My son could walk before he could stand up unassisted and he was about 11.5months, but DD could stand up for more than a month before she started taking steps, again at about 11.5months. Now at 15 months DD still walks like a drunk baby a lot but I think it's because she has really long legs. (She's a super climber though.) DS has short legs and was very steady from the start.

  • DD just started walking about a month ago. It took her about a week after that to figure out how to stand up without pulling up on furniture. She still looks wobbly when she's tired and hasn't really figured out running yet.
