Car seat for my 3yr old

My 3yr old is currently in a 3point harness car seat. But my youngest just turned one and now needs a front facing car seat cause he is too big for the infant one we have. My question is, when is it safe to move my 3yr old into a high back booster car seat? Or is he still too young? Im trying to put off buying a new front facing seat because I don't really have the money and the hgh back boosters seem to be a little cheaper.

Re: Car seat for my 3yr old

  • You can put your 3 year old in a 5 point harness booster. The evenflow maestro is inexpensive. Or maybe you can find the graco nautilus on sale?

  • I did mean a 5point harness. Thanks for the input

  • Your 3 year old isn't old enough for a booster (minimum 4 years and 40 pounds, safer to leave her in the harness until she outgrows it) and your 1 year old should still be rear facing to at least 2.

You're better off buying a convertible seat for your little one that can RF, then FF.
