I'm torn...

Grady was sleeping at least 5 hours every night. Now 4 is his max which was last night, but more like 3-3.5 It started to decrease the same time I started putting him down for his evening nap not nursing.
Nothing else has changed and he's fallen into a nice "rhythm". Quick 45ish min am nap, followed by a longer 3ish hour afternoon nap, then a short nap of around 1-1.5 hours in the evening, usually waking around 730 to start bedtime routine.
He's been nursing to sleep for his first 2 naps bc by the time he gets ready to go down its been almost 2 hours since last feed and I didnt want to move him to fast.
So, do I try nursing to sleep for that last nap again or let him get accustomed to it and it'll work itself out?
I'm leaning towards letting it go but wanted to see what others thought.

  • I'd either nurse to sleep, or feed him right before you sart getting him ready for the last nap. Also, how much does he eat before going to bed for the night? DD sleeps much better/longer if she cluster feeds before bed in the evening and eats frequently when she's awake during the day.

  • Hes ebf so I have no idea how much he eats. He nurses about 30 min before his last nap. Also he eats right after waking from last nap and then again right before bed to "top him
    Off".

  • I always nurse just one side :(. I do think maybe a phase.
I'm trying to slowly get him to nap without nursing first since he won't do that at daycare. I don't mind nursing to sleep for the night and actually love it! But with all the spit up and dc transition approaching I was hoping to get him to nap at least that short evening nap without it since he eats <1 hour before that nap starts.

Sorry, I meant how frequently :)
I'd just nurse on his cues and see how he does.
