Pelvic pressure ... worth a call into the OB, or normal?

Hi everyone. I'm about 26 and a half weeks ish and for the last week or so I have had a lot of pelvic pressure right between my legs, kind of like i had been riding a horse all day, riding a bike all day, or kicked there. it hurts when I walk, stand up, sit down, lay down, etc. So i have yet to find anything that "helps" with the pain. I've also been having some back pain too (like all over back pain, not just lower back). I'm curious before I make a call out to my OB if anyone thinks its worth it, or if its just a normal pregnancy thing. I am a FTM, so I have no idea what to expect at this point.

  • Sounds perfectly normal to me, but maybe call to put your mind at ease.

  • Sounds normal to me.  LO has been head down for me for the longest time.  Check out some of the exercises on spinningbabies.com.  They really help with getting LO into a more comfortable position.
I will definitely have to peek at those exercises and give them a try when i get home from work today.

  • UPDATE: Wound up calling and they recommended me to go into the hospital since I was also having some shortness of breath. But the good news is everything checked out okay!

  • If you have no bleeding it is normal, your uterus is growing from a lemon to a basketball and the baby is getting bigger and bigger pushing on nerves and your pelvis. If you do have major concerns then call your OB. I would take some Tylenol if it is really giving you a lot of trouble and maybe some gentle yoga to help stretch.
