FET IM injection question!

I thought this might be the best place to ask...if not, please feel free to redirect me!!

I'm starting my delestrogen IM injections on Tuesday for our FET. Then, two weeks later, I'll start PIO. My question is where to put all these shots. I only did the PIO for a few weeks during my fresh cycle and my hips were so sore by the end. My nurse said I could do my delestrogen in my thigh if I wanted. I'd have to do these until 12 weeks into pregnancy. So, what to you ladies do? Are your thighs sore from the IM there, too? My thinking is, if my hips are both going to be sore, do I really want my thighs to be sore, too?! It's only 2 shots/week, so would this really make a huge difference in my backside? I'm thinking not, but really wanted advice from seasoned IM'ers before we start estrogen next week.

Ouch! I have no advice because my RE didn't prescribe injections. I used Viv.elle Dot and Endo.metrin. GL

I got kind of a numb area on my bum that is still kind of numbish feeling. I quit PIO a week and a half ago. I think the kind of oil used can also effect how painful it is. Mine really wasn't that bad except for a few times. I used sesame oil.

I wouldn't mix them if it was me. Bridejackie was on both and I know she didn't mix them and gave both in the hip.

Thank you Crystal! I couldn't imagine my RE thinking it was a good idea or he would have mentioned it up front. Until I saw it online, it never even crossed my mind as an option! Two pokes it is then...sore butt, here I come

they really aren't too bad at all. You can do it! Let me know if you have more questions after you read my response. I have tons of needles and syringes if you need some.

Thank you so much for your response on IF Jackie! I really appreciate it! I'll let you know if I need more needles. We have quite a stash, but hopefully I'll need them for the long haul and will need more!!

I just switched sides on my backside each day. I also did delestrogen every 3rd day and then PIO too until 10 weeks. Yesterday was my last day of shots!

The first few days are the worst, and then your body just gets used to it.
