So yesterday I was feeling really sad and for some reason ended up at a hair salon and let them cut ALL of my hair off.
I have layers, I think. I have bangs! It's super cute, but over the years I turned into a ponytail only girl. I have wore a pony tail everyday for the past 12 years. I have't had bangs in 12 years and I have never had more than one layer.
I feel like the cut added 20lbs to my cheeks though and I have this one twig from my bangs that keeps touching my eye lashes. What can I do? Would a cute tiny clip help? Wax? I'm so lost.
Added pics.

Re: Do we have any stylish mamas here?
1. Any time you do something drastic to your hair, it'll take a bit to get used to. You will though, I promise. I just drastically changed my color and it took nearly a week to look at myself in the mirror and not expect red.
2. Layers are great! They add volume and fun and movement to a cut!
3. They probably don't make your face look wider- BUT good layers can enhance your cheekbones, so I understand feeling weird about it. Trust me.. You'll get used to it.
4. Bangs are tough. Either you love them, or you hate them. Are they side swept or straight across your forehead? They might take some training to lay correctly- your hair is used to going one way, and you want it to go another. If one part is bothering you, go back to the salon and have them fix it. They could have missed a piece, or just misjudged it. I'd give it a few more days to see if it just needs training- if its always in yor face, try using a bobby pin when you're at home to make it lay to the side. You can also use some product- I'm not a fan of wax(just a personal opinion) but I think a little hairspray can help it do what you want.
5. If you're not happy with anything- go back to the stylist. They want you to be happy and come back to them. They'll charge you a little to work on you again, but if it gives you something you'll love, t's worth it.
6. Welcome to the no ponytail world. I find headbands are helpful for going to the gym and lazy days around the house.
I want to see it now!!
ETA: oh so cute!!! A pin while at home for a couple days, or some product will help with that one piece. But you look good with short hair!!!
I also look for twirl in dresses. Apparently movement is a big deal for me haha
I may be wrong, I don't get out much. I really don't like wax either, because I brush my hair a lot and end up getting it near my scalp, but I have half my hair tucks at the ends and the other half flips. It sucks!!
I will try some hair spray and a bobby pin.
But I promise, you look fantastic!
