It sounds like a lot of ladies want a different trip because of finances and location. Sometime after March will allow people to have their tax return checks.

I imagine this trip will only be 10 people or so, whereas the 2014 trip if it happens could be more. Honestly, even if this trip is a disaster I'll probably be game for a second one later in the year. I can't imaging anything happening that's bad enough for me to not want to do it again. I'm probably being extremely naive.

It's only a weekend in the long run, and that is not worth paying for in financial distress for the next six months. I know you are probably feeling really disappointed. When the date and location are figured out, you can add up the $ and see if it's the right decision for your family. I'm not judging anyone for going or not going.

I know if things were tight for me right now, I'd be upset and disappointed - just think that in the big picture it is 2 days that would not be worth a collapse in your finances, and that there will probably be another opportunity! I have a group of friends who are traveling to Ethiopia this year, and though I felt like it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, I could not justify the trip for multiple reasons.

For me it all depends on what the cost of travel + the cost of the place to stay. Timing isn't that big of a deal.

@LuvSD I'm responding here about my excuses...

1. Coaches meeting/seminar. We usually do this mid October in Rockford, IL, or somewhere similar so this wouldn't be that much of a stretch.

2. Weekend shopping trip with my mom. But then again, I would have to bring my mom. URG. I'm sure she and Sage would manage something.

3. Family reunion...we are family right? I like most of you better than my family.

4. I've thought about killing someone off, but that is wrong in so many ways....

5. I have room for suggestions...

I'm not gonna lie. I called adeline's house of cool and asked the guy for the most kickass deal he can give us. He said he'll come back with an amazing rate because he has 3 daughters and knows how dire an escape is. I know we probably might not choose it but it would be under a hundred bucks each. I think we can find something cheaper though. I just had to know
