April 2013 Moms

So tired!

Just when I thought DS's sleep at night couldn't get any worse with multiple wakeups he has now decided that between 4 and 5am is his new wake up time! Ugh!!

Re: So tired!

  • Ugh hang in there momma it will get better. I promise. I know that doesn't help but get yourself a big ole cup of coffee. Both my girls were up early today and I'm already counting down till nap time. Hope you get a nap in later.

  • It will get better! My DD had been getting up on average every 2 hours at night for about a month. Since I felt like it couldn't get any worse I decided to try some new things. I unswaddled her arms and have started her in the crib (we were bed sharing). She has gotten a little better and is up every 3 to 4 hours now. Hang in there and maybe try new things even if they seem weird or weren't exactly what you planned.

  • There are many days where we are up for the day at 5:30. It's hard, and this is coming from a morning person! :) Thank goodness for tea and giant mugs.
  • DS was sleeping so well until around 4-5 then he would get a diaper change and eat and sleep till 7. Now he's getting up around 1:30 each morning to talk away for about an hour then he'll decide to go back to sleep. My pedi suggests its a stage. And a lot of times around 6 months they start sleeping better. Here's to hoping he's right!
