Ok so all of you who get annoyed about people saying your babies are big/fat/chubby... I finally get it. It used to not bother me and I still love calling DD a chunk cause I think it's cute and I know she's gonna grow out of it.
But, we are visiting DH's hometown in WI (which is going surprisingly well) and we went out to grab a few necessities at the store. Some old woman comes up beside DD's stroller and says, "Well you sure don't look like you miss any of your meals!" and then she also mistakenly called her a boy...
DH and I were both like wtf, why do people think it's ok to say stuff to babies that they would never say to adults. I really wanted to tell her that she better hurry because we don't know how much time she has left (cause she was old). Of course I didn't say it but I was thinking it and was just annoyed.
Re: Big Baby Comments
We Made A Wish....
And You Came True!
So annoying! Please tell me you at least corrected her on the boy thing!
We get comments occasionally, too, but not quite that blunt.
I also hear "is that all from breast milk??" How in gods name is that ANY of your business and what the fluck else would it be from?? Carrot cake???

It's a running "joke" (I don't always find it funny) at work that every time he opens his mouth HR cringes.

I got a lot of the "he never misses a meal", "what are you FEEDING him?", "he sure is a healthy one!" and "oh my, what a big boy!" comments. I wasn't too fazed by the healthy/big boy stuff, because he was, and still is (7 years old, 75lbs, way taller than most kids his age... He's not fat, but he's freaking SOLID. He's a brick shit house.), but the feeding comments irritated me to no end. He ate no more than your average one year old. Don't just assume that I stuff his face with McDonalds and cake because he's bigger than your babies were.
People need to learn to filter. Don't tell a woman her baby is fat. Comment on his beautiful eye color, or his head of hair, or how happy he is. Not how many rolls he has on each leg.
