Re: 3rd Tri Check in

  • Well I made it to 35 weeks! Yesterday I had another gush of fluid and blood so I went to my OB's office and then got sent to L&D. They hemmed and hawed all night while my OB was here wanting to deliver me that finally she had to go home. Somehow they got a hold of my MFM and she insisted the evict LO. Well I had just gotten admitted into a room and was eating dinner and then went to bed, at 11:50pm the asshole on call came in to say he wanted to deliver me. (major eye roll) he complained the room was too hot. Well because I had eaten we had to wait until 6am. I am still sitting here waiting because there are no Nicu beds. They could send LO to Childrens but I don't want to be separated. They think I have a continuing abruption. So maybe we will have a baby today maybe not.

Q; I would build a custom bed that looked like a carousal or maybe a horse and the baby would sleep where the saddle would go. LO would have her own bathroom.

  • Luvboston, I wish you luck and I can't wait for pictures of LO.

This week I had an u/s and I can't believe my little guy weighs almost 4 lbs. =)

Q: I would build a nursery with tons of secret passage ways and hire an interior decorator.

  • Aside from trying to clear up a nasty case of poison oak & worrying about possible induction if I go past 40 weeks, I am doing great & still getting out for exercise every day.

Q: 100K? hmmm...we turned our walk-in closet into the nursery. Our current nursery doesn't have a window, air vent, or electricity. I'd use the 100K to add onto the front of the house, move the dining room to the new section and move the nursery into the old dining room. Knock down the wall between the current nursery (walk-in closet) and connect it with the bathroom and add a tub!

  • Good luck today luvboston!

Nothing super new going on here. Next MW appointment is next week and I'm feeling pretty good. MH has the shingles and a viral infection right now which really sucks so I've had to stay away from him. The good news is that he's had the infection for almost a week now and I have no signs or symptoms that I caught it. And since I've had the chicken pox before it would be really rare for me to get the shingles. It just stinks though because we've been sleeping apart all week :(

QOTW: If I had $100K to spend on a nursery I would dormer out the front of our house and add a really awesome master suite. LOL, I know I'm not using the $$ for a nursery, but I could NEVER spend that much, even if I had it, on a nursery. It's a room for a baby! We'd enjoy using the $$ for our bedroom/bathroom and closets a whole lot more :)

  • OB apt went great, go back in 2 weeks. Had some contractions last night, just want to make it till 35+ weeks. I am peeing every hour at night and so tired during the day! I was dreading the newborn sleep schedule but now I think it will be better than the sleep I am getting now! 100k.....yes I would do an amazing art wall in the nursery and then finish the million other projects around the house! Too practical to spend it all in the nursery! Finish master bath, paint exterior trim, finish 1800 sq ft in basement, redeck the back deck (there is a whole where the hot tub used to be) and do a patio.... the list goes on!

  • Nothing new to report here. Baby is head down and everything looks good. I'm starting to feel very pregnant and I'm anxious to meet baby! I had a dream baby was a girl :-). Qotw: I'd use the $100k to RE-do our master bath/ closet and then get the expensive furniture for the nursery that I liked.

  • Hello ladies!  We had a busy week.  Last weekend was our beautiful shower given by my incredibly generous and amazing girlfriends.  It was absolutely wonderful, a perfect day.  Baby has been doing well according to the monitoring sessions we've been doing.  Saw my OB this week for a regular visit and all seems to be progressing normally.  I am having lots of BH contractions, wishing they would stop b/c they make me nervous.  Baby is really active today, I don't know what the heck he's doing in there!

Re. QOTW:  All I can say is that I just saw this article and it definitely made me a little jealous of people who have $50,000 to spend on a luxe nursery!  I admit it, I'm envious!!

  • Yes, I know this is over the top, but I figure if I had $100k to spend on a nursery over the top is probably what I'd do!  Its Mariah Carey's nursery for her twins.....hmmm I only need one crib so maybe I'll put that $10k towards her coming home outfit!  :-)

Hey Ladies! congrats Boston on your sweet baby! So happy youre both doing well! My EDD is 11/6/13, we just saw baby girl on the 30th, and she is still breech, her head dug into my right rib cage. I'm really trying hard not to stress about the breech stuff for a few more weeks though its proving kinda hard. We're calling her a pill bug cause she's a perfect C shape in there, feet in her face and everything. We still didn't get a good look at her since her cord was running across her cheek and mouth, so she's a mystery as far as what she looks like. Luckily we only have 2 months ish to go!

QOTW: I would honestly move into a different house with a bigger room for her. DH is obsessed with owl themed stuff right now so I'd go big with a realistic tree and owls somehow. :)
