Nursery advice?

We are on team green and want to do one fish two fish nursery (Dr. Seuss). The one fish two fish bedding and accessories are mostly light blue in color. How can we decorate the rest of the nursery so it is not overly boyish if we have a girl but still OK if we have a boy? Recommendations for wall color, etc? Thank you!

    soft yellow on the walls will be a good start.  Wait until the baby is there and then you can add softer accessories if the baby is a girl, like gauzy white drapes, a fluffier type rug, etc.

    I would go with a light gray wall ... I really like pp's idea of waiting on a few things and adding in some ruffles/eyelet type stuff...   Probably in curtains, lamp shade, pillow for rocking chair, etc.

    Thanks for your input! I'm just a tad nervous about all the blue. I HATE gender stereotypes but I also know they dictate our society and identities to some degree.
